New show with princesses?

We just got our 5:30 appt changed on 6/19 they tried to move us to 3:30 which is nap time for our little guy...so my DH made a fuss because we called exactly 60 days out for our appt and they made an ajustment and moved us up to 11:30.

They didnt say why for the change....

I can't imagine Disney would give up this income stream without having something in mind to replace it.

I have to say, this must be one amazing show to consider giving up the Princess dinner and closing Paradise pier early every night.....

I'd like to see it eventually, but not this year. We just moved our park days around to AVOID opening night. I'm not big in crazy mobs.... :scared1:

I seriously doubt they're giving up any income stream. They're probably going to make more money out of this. I figure Ariel's will be open in the evenings without princesses but at premium pricing since the meal will probably include some sort of WOC reserved seating.

I am bummed about the idea of closing Paradise pier every night too since we like to go back there and ride Toy Story or Screamin' in the evenings sometimes. Unless the WOC show bombs though, even this action seems unlikely to hurt Disney's profits. If people aren't in Paradise pier, they're either going to be in line waiting for WOC or in line buying some sort of food, drink, or trinket while waiting for WOC or over in Disneyland waiting for some show or in some line or buying something. CMs who would be working the rides on the Pier will instead be available to assist with crowd control, thereby helping to control personnel costs as well, not to say that they might not need to hire extra CMs still to deal with the expected massive crowds. Doesn't seem like the area of the park I'll enjoy being in during the evenings either, but, darn it, I want to see the show!

Has anyone who has a dinner reservation BEFORE June 11, had theirs cancelled or moved? So far everyone I've seen who has had a problem has been June 11 or later. I saw a rumor that said there would not be any dinners there after May 1, but ours has not been cancelled or moved at least as of yet. DisKatrina, any word on yours for June 4? Did it get moved or cancelled?
