new Sheraton Vistana Resort Review

just returned June 18-24. Loved it!! I was so nervous after reading some negative reviews on this board and on trip advisor but we absolutely loved it!! I had requested in advance a room on a ground floor or in Lakes or Cascades ( elevators) as my 81 yo mother was with us and cannot climb stairs. there were 7 of us in 2 suites so I'd also requested that if possible the rooms be in the same building. I was thrilled when we were assigned rooms in Cascades and right next to each other ( 2211 & 2212) each 2 br suite was brightly decorated - not the brand new ones w/ granite counters but very nice yellow and peach - tropical colors which we loved. I found no problems with cleanliness. we didn't spend alot of times at the pools but enjoyed the cascades pool a few mornings. housecleaning came in every day to make the beds and give us clean towels and 2X during our week stay for a full cleaning. didn't eat on site so cannot comment on the restaurants - bought a few things at the marketplace - a little pricey but very convenient. LOL - on our last day we recd a call about a timeshare presentation - not one call til then!! any other questions I'd be glad to answer .

Thanks for the report. Cascades is slated for remodeling next year. So glad your requests were met. And thankfully you were not harrassed by sales staff desguised as concierage or VIP or whatever.

We stayed at Vistana Villages in the Keys section from May 18-25. We were so pleasantly surprised after reading mixed reviews. We never were badgered to see a presentation, although we did consider asking to see one by the end of the week because we had such a wonderful experience! Here's a few pics of our suite:
