I am looking at a Canon 30D with a Sigma 18-125 and a Sigma APO DG 70-300. Flash would be a Sigma EF-500 DG Super. Question would be would I be better off(quility wise) to go with a Canon equilivent? I am new to digital and wish to develope my digital craft prior to jumping in hole hog.

Thanks for your time,

Unless Canon releases 18-125 IS lens, I don't think you can get a better deal (based on your spec).

What I'm waiting from Canon is 18-125 (or 200) IS, Canon 18-55 f/2.8 IS, and Canon 35D (similar to 30D but with 10.2 MP and DIGIC 3 processor, most probably will be announced during Photokina 2006)

Sounds great.

I like the 18-125 sigma, and with the 1.6crop that 70-300 will get you the 35mm reach of 480mm.

Thanks for the feedback..It really does help.
