Jacqueline-- So sorry to hear about Em. My eldest brother-- the one that lost his dd--had the same problem. He was on antibiotecs that he was allergic too and they didn't notice right away-- he almost died from that alone.

Howdy PD-- How's Winnie-- no recent injuries I hope.

OH PD make sure you put lots of padding on Winnie since it is getting more slippery out there..

Jacqueline... for you and Emily.. It is scary when you have an allergic reaction to meds. I am alergic to sulfa and it was in an iv they put in me once and it caused a siezure. Very scary.. Glad you caught it in time. Poor kid..

We might get a 'dusting' (dont you just love that expression? Like it's some powdered sugar or cocoa?! ) here tomorrow!! The cubs would be sooo excited! The little one is back to his normal 5 year-old self (that's sassy and VERY knowledgable on ALL subjects....for those of you who've forgotten or never had the joy. He stomped his paw at me last night when I asked him to do his chore of unloading the dishwasher. Guess who didnt get his dessert....though, luckily, he didnt do anymore stomping. )

Tonight we will decorate the tree and watch the "Real" Grinch as my older one calls it! We had to discuss why the OLD cartoon Grinch is the REAL Grinch and not this Jim Cary thing! Should be fun.

Hope all have a great weekend and health and happiness comes to all - well, and maybe some grace for Winnie?!

We are watching the "fake" grinch right now. I love it. Makes me think of Seuss Landing at IOA at US. Man it felt like walking through the movie.. The grinch was great especially when he stole my stroller from me and started walking away.. Man did I get excited for a moment there

Sorry about Em's further travails. We're sending positive vibes. DD is allergic to sulfa, which we found out when she was four and her face and hands swelled up like balloons. Scared the bejeebers out of me.

Happy Weekend everyone! For all of you with the Winnie COmments... I read them to her and we had a good laugh! She is going to physical therapy 3 tmes a week. She still has her huge brace on her leg but is supposed to go down to a smaller hinged knee brace next week if he range of motion is ok. Her next dr. appointment is the 29th. She may be back to regular life in January. We toyed with the idea of buying her bubble wrap for Christmas, but I know she would not appre that humor one little bit.

Our DD once requested and got bubble wrap as a holiday gift. She used to like to jump on it.
The only problem with a gift like that: how do you wrap it?

She may be back to regular life in January. We toyed with the idea of buying her bubble wrap for Christmas, but I know she would not appre that humor one little bit.

Glad things are going ok - keep it up Winnie!!! Well, soon she and DH can be hobbling partners - we just found out he is to have his foot surgery Dec. 23rd. Merry christmas, huh? They even said he will most likely have to spend one night, ahhhhh, Chrsitmas Eve in the hospital, lovely. Well, atleast he's getting it done - it's looong overdue. Now, can anyone tell me how to deal w/ a restless, housebound bear for 3 months?!!!

LizzY got her first college acceptance letter yesterday! I am giddy because it is accepance into my alma mater! It's her first college letter so it was a pretty exciting night at our house. They also let her know that she is eligible for several scholarships! ( She is much smarter than her Mom! ) I doubt this is her first choice of school, but it's a nice feeling of relief that she is in the door! (and I think we can actually afford this school as it is part of the SUNY system)
