Anyway a CM lady working the Settlement TP cut me off mid sentence and said FWMerchandise was "coming back within the year". This was no summer intern CM, she looked like and talked like an experienced retail CM. She said managers had gotten the message that campers love their tire covers, welcome mats, and other fort gear.

I was told the exact same thing by a CM at the Meadow Trading Post in January, practically word for word (probably the same CM). She said that new FW merchandise was in the works. I hope it's true and it's sooner than later.

I will believe it when I see it. CM have been telling me for years that Disney reopening River County just for Fort guest.

This rumor NEEDS to be true. I need to replace some T-shirts, sweatshirts, license plates, and license plates frames. I'm starting to feel like a hobo wearing the old t-shirts, and the license plate is so faded you barely make it out.

My license plate lost a battle with a deer. Actually, they both lost. Surprisingly little other damage to the motor home it was mounted on at the time. Sure did get my attention though!

Glad you came out as well as you did in that exchange. My license plate lost a battle with another car last week. Driver turned right in front of us, and whole front in was smashed. Van totaled. No one injured. Only, there is 1 less Fort Wilderness license plate in the world.

Yikes, glad everyone was Ok. I say that license plate was an irreplaceable heirloom, priceless.

Just got back from WDW last night. I spoke with a CM at the Settlement the other night and they said January 2012 new FW merchandise will be returning. Yay! (2 different CM's confirmed)

We are going from 12/26/11 to 1/2/12. I hope the Fort Merchandise is in when we are there. It would make sense to get it in for Christmas but like others have said I'll believe it when I see it.
