New rule about transferred points?

I made a reservation using transferred points today. I was told that due go the system update this week, they have to use transferred points first. I was a little disappointed, because the transferred points are good for an extra 6 months because of a different use year from my regular points.
 
If this is the result of a glitch in the system, they should manually do it and pull the points as you want them used. Call back tomorrow and ask for a supervisor.
 
This recent upgrade was one big glitch.

Call and ask for a supervisor, I changed a reservation earlier this week...it is still not in the system, all messed up.
 
If it's a new rule, you could book a "dummy reservation" that uses the transferred points, then book the one you want, then cancel the "dummy reservation" which would put those transferred points back in your account.
 

Any word when this glitch will be fixed? I have 53 banked points that expire May 2016, now they don't show to be expiring. I'm making a room reservation on the 14th I hope the system knows to apply those first.
