New Rollercoaster at Alton Towers

It was a fun ride but IMHO majorly overhyped. On a scare scale I give it a 3 (2 of those points were for the wraith and camouflaged bush people who were jumping out on people in the line.) I'm glad I have been on it but would not wait more than 10 minutes for it in the future. But as long as it is new and people are waiting to ride it, it makes the other lines shorter!!

thanks for the update :thumbsup2 im still looking forward to riding it in june xx

4 days and counting till i go ride this, will come back with mine and cara's (10) opinion. Off to thorpe park tomorrow, we're making it a theme park week:goodvibes

I'm sooooo excited about it, I can't wait!

While for alot of you Disney is your "happy" place, well this is Alton Towers for me :flower3: I've been going since I was about 4 years old, I even remember a time before Nemesis! It's like my childhood happy place, lol.

I just need to persuade the boyfriend to go again!

I remeber the Thunder Looper :lovestruc

Has anyone been to Thorpe Park for the Saw walk through, that looks quite scary to me (you would never catch me on the roller coaster though :scared1:)

Just got back from a long day at the park. Thirteen was closed for quite a while due to technical difficulties, though we managed to wander down to that area at the right time as they were just about to let people through to the queue area so we only had a 15 (at most) wait.
It looked like they were experimenting with theming in the queue area and had 4 dummies wrapped in vines dotted around the surrounding foliage, in calm poses. It was like they just didn't know what to do with them and to be honest, made it look worse than not having anything there at all.
You have to leave bags at a little kiosk, they give you a wristband with a number on it. This is because of electromagnets which might do something to electronics.
The ride is a 2 seater with lap bar restraints, (if you want to know some details as to what the coaster does, highlight the next section, I know some people don't like knowing too much:goodvibes) goes up a hill and a steep-ish drop, round as a regular roller coaster before going into a run down looking building where it has a very short drop before it goes backwards in the dark back out to the loading dock.

All in all, a very average coaster. On a scale of 1 - 10, I'd give it a 6. It is definiatly not a coaster I would be willing to wait over 20 minutes for.
Nemesis and Rita have retained their status as my firm favourites at Alton Towers.
