What is the name/number of the new tollway from the Turnpike to the AK area? I know it is after US27 if you are driving from I-75.

Thanks a bunch.

Did a Search because I needed the same information...

We often take I-75 south to the Florida Turnpike and then I-4 to WDW. Last Monday we skipped the I-4 part by taking the new I-429 beltway from the Turnpike before you get to I-4. It was 15 miles to the new Disney exit on a brand new interstate with hardly any traffic. Once you exit you pass under a big Disney arch over the new road on Disney property. You will end up at the western edge of the Coronado Springs resort on Lake Buena Vista Drive. It was so great to miss I-4 with its heavy traffic. I would recommend this route for anyone driving down on I-75.

The new toll road is the Daniel Webster Western Beltway, or State Road 429.

There's a PDF map at http://www.dot.state.fl.us/turnpikepio/pdfs/westernbeltway.pdf

The main access from State Road 429 to Walt Disney World is the Western Way exit. Western Way is Disney's new 3-mile, 4-lane road that connects State Road 429 to Buena Vista Drive at an intersection just south of Disney's Coronado Springs Resort.

State Road 429 also has an exit at US-192, near Disney's Animal Kingdom.

I drove this road last week, and let me tell you it was a joy to drive. Generally straight and no traffic since it's so new. Approaching WDW you go up to a slight plateau and can see the castle, SE, and the contemporary in the distance to your left.

Word of caution -- State Troopers patrol Western Way and 429. Very rare is the case I do not see at least 2 each way.
