The theme of our next trip is going to be trying restaurants (TS) we have never tried. Here are some I am thinking about:

Liberty Tree Tavern
Hollywood and Vine
Boma
Restaurant Marrakesh
Garden Grill
'Ohana

For this trip we will be a group of 4 adults, but we really like all you care to eat character meals. We are not crazy about buffets, but I want to try Boma for sure. Is there anything special about Hollywood and Vine? I am a vegetarian, would I find anything to eat at 'Ohana? Can we see "Wishes" from 'Ohana? We will be on the dining plan. Thanks for any comments about any of these restaurants!

we have eaten at liberty tavern, makkeresh, and also ohanas. the food is outstanding at all of them. sorry, i cannot help on the vegetarian menu, maybe you could look the menus up. also, if you were seated at the right time and also at the right location i am sure you could view wishes. we are trying bomas our next trip, i hear it is yummy.

You'll find lots to eat at Boma as a vegetarian. I can't comment on the other places you listed, but Boma definitely has lots of different vegetable dishes and grains. Be sure to try the potatoes with afritude and the sweet potato fufu.

Ask the server if any of the soups are vegetarian. The soups are really good.

I like H&V, and think it has some good, non-typical-for-a-buffet food. If you're going there anyway, you might as well try to get a Fantasmic Dining Package.

I have been to all but the Garden Grill.

Our all-time favorite is Boma and there should be plenty of vegetarian options.

H&V is good with a lot of choices.

LTT was just okay the last time we went. It is not geared toward vegetarians either at dinner. I prefer LTT for lunch.

Thanks for all the (speedy!) replies! I am not too concerned about finding vegetarian-friendly food, except for at 'Ohana. I feel like at the other restaurants there are enough side dishes.

At 'Ohana, you'll be able to munch on the mixed green salad they bring in the beginning, the scalloped potatoes and the stir-fry vegetables. That is *it*. Everything else is meat-orientated, such as shrimp, chicken wings, or skewers of meat. However, it is all you can eat style, which is fabulous.

California Grill is simply marvellous. I give it an A+. The food is fresh and delightfully presented, the servers are attentive and the atmosphere is condusive to lots of loud conversations with your friends (it is *not* a hushed quiet environment).

I think at OHanna you could eat just the delish potatoes and the yummy bread pudding and have a wonderful, if not traditional, vegetarian meal. :rotfl:

I could have just eaten the potatoes at Ohana and been happy! But they have yummy steamed vegetables, not mushy, but tender-crisp...the snow pea pods are soooo good! The greens salad was wonderful with the lime dressing, and there are the wonton chips you can dip...the green sauce was the best! The bread pudding was really good, too, with the bananas foster sauce, which was like melted caramels with just a hint of banana flavor...I thought it would be weird, but mmmm, I could go for some right now! Let the others eat the meat; you'll have plenty with the meatless part of the meal.

MMMMMMM.....potatoes...... :goodvibes
