Somewhat on topic with this board...

The Disney villans have never been given a 'fair shake'. Sure, the good guys (and gals) get all the fame but we should not forget their counterparts significance.

For example: Sleeping Beauty...sure she is pretty and is a good singer, but in my opinion, Maleficent stole the show when her crows DNA was turned into scrambled eggs!

Here's another example: Cinderella...yeah the mice were cute and Cindy is drop-dead gorgeous, but in my opinion, the step-mother reminds me of cruel, self-centered real people.

It is the opinion of this DISers, that Disney should imagineer a restaurant in honor of the villans of Disney!

Who's with me? In fact, who is your favorite villan? For me, it is Maleficent. Very sinister and to this day when she transfers into a dragon it still gives me chills.

Strength in numbers

There would be no movie without them. How long are people going to sit around watching the pretty girl run (or swim) around on the sceen. I collect all the villians stuff. Malifecent is in a close running with aursula. That reminds me, I need to put extra money aside for that villians store in M-G-M this trip.:) :)

I love them all:wave:

wow--I'd eat there every day at the World :)

My favorites include Mal, but I gotta go with Mad Madam Mim
and Captain Hook (love to be his cabin boy)
Si and Am
Scar
Sher Khan
Prince John

(love them mean ol' putty tats)

I've got the Villain mug from the Villain store with tons of the bad guys on it--they've actually got the Cheshire Cat in a tree grinnin'! Never realy considered him "bad" in any way

We've long yearned for a character meal geared toward boys, the way Cindy's and the Princess meals are for girls. My boys love Disney films, but I'm sure they would relate much more to a breakfast with Peter Pan, Beast, Sully and Mike, Mowgli, Tarzan, Gaston, etc. My boys would go wild over that!!!

We agree! My 15 and 12 year olds had so much fun with the villians at the character greets. Jafar and Captain Hook really took their roles seriously!

We also enjoyed the Villians shop in MGM. Stuff you won't find anywhere else.

I remember hearing about the villian character meal. Does anyone know why it didn't last? I think this would be the most fun of all.

Hi there,..

You know what?

Disney used to have a Villains character dinner at the GF...

I took my daughter 7 years old ) thinking it would be fun.. but, she did not like these bad guys - in her mind, they were bad, they were mean to her favourite characters and she didn't want to hug them - I was literally worried she was going to slug one of them.

The worst was Governor Ratcliffe from Pocahontis,, she gave him a piece of her mind, saying he should know that indian people are people too, and their land is special to them, and how could he be so mean, how could he take the gold..and animlas are people too, and John Smith was so nice...and on and on... the person in the costume was so patient - he just kept listening, and nodding and shrugging his shoulders as she went on and on.. then he patted her on the head and walked away - he was probably so relieved to get away from us. LOL

So as it turned out - my DD didn't enjoy the dinner - she wants to dine with people she likes or admires, and the whole time I was stressed out that she was going to kick a character in the shins.

>>^..^<<

Sorry--It's not such a new idea. It was done, it didn't work. Too many kids scared of the villians, and too many adults don't want to bother with a character dinner.

I wish I had a chance to go to it.

I'm a big fan of villians and thought this would have been a good idea.

I love the villian store at MGM, have to go there each visit.

This idea gets my vote! Evil Queen rules!!! Well, not since those nasty trolls, I mean dwarfs chased the poor thing off the cliff.

Hiya -

I don't think that I would feel right dining with the villians. I know that when the mingle, like the characters usually do, I would feel that I would have to be nice to them. I wouldn't go out of my way to be nasty to anyone but they are villians and what do people usually do to villians - they boo at them!! I think I will stick with the nice characters.

We went to the Villians dinner at 1900 Park Fare. It was great and Cruella rules!!!
My son, niece and nephew had a blast and the villians were very entertaining! I guess it's the little ones that don't enjoy it too much.
I would go wherever Cruella is!

We went in 2000 with our daughters age 11 & 12 at that time. They loved it and we were looking forward to going again this October with our 4 yr old son who's whole purpose for watching any movie is to find the "bad guy". The dinner we went to was at the Grand Floridian.

The Villains arn't my favorite Disney characters, but I agree they can be a lot of fun in the parks. Cruella is great, always in character and Hook and Prince John are a lot of fun as well since they're somewhat more wimpy Villians. Some of the more menacing Villains like Jafar, Frollo, and sometimes the Queen and Malificent don't seem quite as fun to meet though and can seem kind of nasty. Another Villain that I think would be a great addition that you never see in the parks is Gaston. He's just goofy enough that he would be a lot of fun to meet and wouldn't be scary for the kids. If they ever do another Villains meal, I would hope that they went with more of the funny Villains and less of the scary ones.
