:)I am sure I saw somewhere that there was a new restaurant coming to Mexico soon (Sept?!) but now can't find any details!!! ha! :rotfl2: Does anyone know anymore about this, or whether I have dreamt this?!

La Hacienda de San Angel, serving dinner only, will open on or around September 16. On that date it will begin taking reservations for dates after October 15 only.

At the same time, the completely rebuilt Cantina de San Angel counter service will also reopen.

Can't wait to hear about this and see a menu. We go mid November

Yes
We just got back Sat. and it looked like a new restaurant is just about ready to open. It is right across from Mexico.

It would be a great place to watch illuminations as the patio is overlooking world showcase lagoon

I'm sure we will give it a try next year

Sounds great! Always nice to try somewhere new!! Has anyone seen a menu yet, any photos etc?
Debsx:)

seen an official menu but this is a peek at what might be on it. It looks interesting to me.

* queso fundido (warm cheese with poblano pepper and chorizo)
* taco trio with rib eye
* roasted chicken and pork
* traditional black bean soup
* mixed grill for two with flank steak, chicken, chorizo and vegetables (a seafood version features grouper, shrimp and scallops)
* roasted shrimp in pepper garlic broth
* flank steak with spring onions, refried beans and cactus leaves
* grilled red snapper with roasted corn and cactus leaves
* Chocolate churros
* sweet tamales
* fruit empanadas

Menu sounds interesting. If that is the true menu then I unfortunately will not be able to eat there as I don't do pork or beef and most dishes contain them. The ones that don't are of no interest.

Debs Hill. I had to look twice at your screen name. I was looking at my own name.

I see a lot of chicken, seafood and bean soup on that menu. I'm afraid I don't see it as mostly pork or beef.
