Okay, there is a new restaurant in DD and it is owned and operated by Naples Ristorante.
Actually, it is right next door to Naples and it is called Napoli. We were at DD today and we decided to check it out. We were told that it officially opened on Friday of last week.
It is the "take out little brother" of the sit down restaurant next door. They offer a lot of different items and the prices are in line with the rest of DLR. They have sandwiches, lasagna, calzones and pizza by the slice. They also offer soup, salads and desserts. The average price for a sandwich is about $7.00-8.00 and there is no AP discount. There is limited seating inside but I guess they don't want to compete with big brother next door. Overall, the quality was good. It seems to be the same items that are sold next door but just in a take-out setting.

I don't think that I will eat there a whole lot, but it's definitely worth a try on your next trip!

Good to know, thanks Roy, I saw Napoli on the 15th when I was at DTD and wondered when it would open. :)

Thanks for the review. I was just there tonight, but forgot to check for it and ended up watching down the other side (near Liquid Planet, etc.) Next time, I will definitely go and check it out. It sounds like a good new place to have a meal at. :)

<font color=navy>Thanks, Roy. I was there last week, and saw that Napoli eatery. I think it's a great idea for those crowded evenings/afternoons when waits for the restaurants can be up to 2 hours (for those who don't make PS's). :)

They will always need more choices in Downtown.

Have they done anything with the Yrriba Yrriba space? Sure would be a nice place to stick a Cheeseburger in Paradise.

Uncle Buck...yeah, a cheeseburger would be nice but I have heard that it will be another mexican type restaurant in Ariba Ariba's old space. In a recent AP newsletter it says "that there will be a new restaurant in DD and salsa is in it's future". I don't know who it will be yet, but I heard it will be another "dinner and stage show" kind of place, like Ariba Ariba was.
