New Resort in Cocoa Beach - Info anyone?

Shirley,

If you go by today, could you check out the extended parking situation for those of us who have our own car with us before the cruise. Earlier, it was posted there was no extended parking lot and then it was posted there IS a place to leave the car. Wondering what is going on over there :)

thanks! Marley

For a 2 night stay in a one bedroom for Aug 27-29. Rate was $142.50 a night (with the 25% off coupon code 102) You have to pay 1 night in full at time of reservation, but it can be refunded up to 72hours prior to your confirmed stay. No shuttle but the woman I spoke to said you can leave your car during your cruise..........I now have a reservation here and at the Raddison...will plan to monitor both places between now and August and then decide which one will accomodate us more!

I just made a reservation for a 2 bedroom for 1 night before our cruise in Nov. I used Code 102 which brought the rate down to $168.75 + tax which is a great rate but will still be more than the 2 rooms we have booked at Pop Century. We'll need to talk to our friends and see if we should keep this reservation at the RonJon or keep the 2 rooms at PC.

berly1657, I'll be anxiously awaiting your report on the 2 bedroom when you get back fro your cruise! Have a great time!!:wave2:

We upgraded yesterday from a studio to a one-bedroom, utilizing the code, for our May sailing….just can’t wait to enjoy all the amenities of the Ron Jon resort!

Unlike most people, I don't mind checking out timeshare presentations (we own at DVC), because I'm not the least bit intimidated by their salespitch, usually get out of presentation in 30 minutes, and they give you nice premiums. DVC for example will give you $50 food vouchers and limo transport around Disney. Otehrs give you free night accomodations. What does RONJON timeshare give you for checking them out? PERHAPS FREE DAYPASS TO THEIR WATERPARK FOR YOUR FAMILY AND FREE DINNER? Anyone know? If not, if the day before cruise (staying at Raddisson) can my family "check-out" waterpark, or does it have a tight military guard like ATLANTIS?

I'm not sure, but I would think that you would have to be a resort guest to use the slide and pool. You can call them and ask, but I wouldn't count on it.

I'd be interesting in find out information also. We're staying at the resort, but for some good freebies, we'd sit through their presentation.

Has anyone actually seen this "side parking lot" yet? Wondering how secure it is and how long of a taxi ride it is to the port. Thanks!

My family would love to take a trip there this summer... however we're afraid if we go for a beach vacation, this resort may be so far OFF the beach... it won't be the same???

How close is it to the beach? Is the beach area big... large enought to walk down, lay out on, etc...

what kind of view will we have from our balcony?

If we call Ron Jon and reserve a room, can we request a 2 bedroom ocean front room for a week? What is the discount code to get the 25% off?

tks!

dcibrando - When you call, tell them you have discount code 102 from the Feb. issue of the Florida Travel Magazine to get 25% off if it's available during your stay.

As for your other questions, you might have to call Ron Jon to find out the answers.

Ok, Maybe this is common????

I just received my resv. w/ Ron Jon......

Check in is after 4:00PM????? Isn't that late?
Check out 10:00AM.....kinda early!!

Heck, I'm only staying the ONE night...not going to get much use out of the resort??

I'm calling the Radisson, to check there hours?

I called Ron Jon's, they stated the have a long turn around time on the room due to the size of the resort!

Just wanted to make this note......on this subject!

The 4 pm check-in is kind of late. I hope they do what the DVC resorts do. Their check in is 4 pm but we have arrived as early as 10 am. Our room is never ready, but we can use the pools until it is. That's what I'm hoping anyway - we arrive for a 1 night stay on 2/13. I'll post a report on my return...Sue

Ok...... I see alot of people that are going to stay here before/after there cruise but no reports as to what it is like. Has anyone stayed here yet? I am dying to hear!
Thanks:bounce:

When we booked our room at the RonJon resort, we were informed that even know the room may not be ready till 4pm we are still able to utilize all of the fun stuff at the resort, such as the pool. This is great in cases such as ours, since we will arrive at the resort around lunch time.

got a 2 bedroom today for May 5th for 152.75 (includes tax) using code 102 out of the Florida Travel magazine (25% discount). This is a pool/Ocean view.

I just changed my res. from the Doubletree to Ron Jon resort. I got a one bedroom for 142.50 a night using the code 102. Thanks to who ever posted this!
When I called they told me only the 2 bedrooms are ocean front and you have to book them for a min. of 7 days! The one bedrooms have a pool view. Studios do not have balconies.
And they are only 2 minutes for DCL port!
Sounds like fun I just wish I was there now!!!:p ::MinnieMo

Yes it is and its out of the same magazine - will check with Ron Jon's today - I never heard from them in all my request but it still a pretty place tho very far from everything and NO THEY ARE NOT 2 MINUTES from the port - Radisson is but they do offer a lot of stuff to do and yes check in is 4PM due to the wide spread of their complexes
anyhow if I can help further, just let me know
Always
Shirley

REALLY....The girl on the phone and her name was TUESDAY told me the resort was only 2 min away!  How far away is it from the port? Thanks Shirley for the facts!
