New reserved location for Main Street Electrical Parade **now with Festival of Fantasy page 5 #99**

So, I was looking at the Tony's Menu and I noticed that there is a
Fish of the Day (Market Price)

Anyone know what the Fish of the Day usually is? Also, how much does it normally cost?

Also on the menu is
Assorted Meats and Cheese

Anyone know what the meats and cheeses normally are?

Pictures of either would be much appreciated!

I booked this dining package for a Monday in November, but after reading all of the terrible reviews of Tony's, I've pretty much decided to cancel. Our ADR is for 2:15, so my plan was to try to get seats where we can watch the 3pm parade (What are our chances for this?) and then have reserved spots for the MSEP that night so we don't have to stake out a spot so far in advance. This will be our only MK day that they have the MSEP, since our other MK days are Christmas party nights. We are going to the Christmas party that Friday, so we'll see the Christmas parade that night. Is there a reason to see both night-time parades or should we be content with the Christmas version? It's been 2 years since we've been to WDW, but we did see MSEP then. We have an 8am ADR at Crystal Palace that morning, so we may be ready to leave the park before the MSEP anyway. I don't want to force my kids (and husband) to stay when they're tired just because we paid so much for the dining package. If we were on the dining plan, I would definitely keep the dining package, but we're offsite, and paying OOP adds a big expense to our trip, which I'm not sure is worth it even if we can get good seats for both parades that day. Advice?

Based on the DIS review of Tony's, it seems the red sauce is really the only issue they had with it. Which, if I were planning to try to book this package, would mean I'd get something that didn't involve that red sauce just to be safe.

I've always thought of Tony's as a "kid friendly" Italian eatery. Kids would probably prefer "Stouffers-meets-Olive Garden" to authentic Italian fine dining.

I love Olive Garden and have enjoyed some Stouffer's lasagnas, so maybe I'm missing out by not having eaten there. :)

The price point is because it's in the Magic Kingdom...home of the $24 Be Our Guest breakfast.

I expect to pay ridiculous prices at WDW, but in this case, it will cost at least $150 for our family of 4 after adding tax and tip. Probably not worth it to pay OOP for one meal just to have better parade viewing. I like Olive Garden--and Stouffers lasagna for that matter--so I would be bummed to not feel like I could order Chicken Parm or worrying that I would require medical attention afterward.

Since I know in my heart that we probably shouldn't pay that much for a meal that may or may not be edible, I guess my main question now would be whether we should even try to stay for the MSEP when we will be seeing the Christmas parade later in the week?

The fish probably doesn't have red sauce or the cheese and meat board. Anyone try them?

If there are going to be so many people with special seating....will I be standing three rows back behind people? How good is the view really? What kind of set-up is this priority seating for the parade? Anyone have any pictures or have done it?

I've been looking around for this answer and I'm unable to find it so I am hoping someone can help me out...
We have this package booked and I'm wondering if we are able to stay in the area for Wishes/Celebrate the Magic? Or do they make you leave after the MSEP?

The two parades are vastly different. One is a typical Disney parade, with electronic music, and sparkling dazzling lights on floats, costumes, and is pretty whimsy. The other is more traditional parade, where there are floats decorated for the holidays, and of course marching toy soldiers. It features snow on main street (usually) and a holiday twist.

In terms of parades, I guess it is up to your group if they want to spend the time waiting for and watching a parade. To minimize wait, try to position yourself near the start of the parade route, so you don't have to wait an hour for the parade to make it to where you are.

you watch from the flagpole in the front of the park, it's not a great spot for wishes or celebrate the magic.

Did anyone do this yet? Is the FP location the old FP+ location? This dining hours offered don't fit into my plans, but if it somehow was a prime location to watch the parade, CTM and wishes, I might change things up a little.
We did on June 11. It was great! We were seated by the windows close to where Daisy signs autographs and my daughter was able to spend time with her before anyone realized Daisy was there. They gave us Lady and the Tramp's autographs which a lot of the character handlers for the other meet and greets had never seen. The food was great! We ordered the calamari, steak, etc. Why order spaghetti when all of those options are there? The steak was fabulous. My husband got the catch of the day and it was great too. The kids meals were good. (I do think they changed the menu when they came out with this package.)

We made it to the MSEP with just a few minutes to spare. We faced the train station from the flag pole. There weren't many people in the section and the kids could dance and have fun. The characters in the parade waved at us a bunch. We were high-fived, etc. It was magical. Then, we went upstairs at the train station and watched the fireworks which made it kind of easy to leave before the crowd.

I recommend this package.

Great review!! Now I wish I could book it but no more availability for early Dec... I did get a reservation and decided to cancel due to the bad reviews... :sad2:

Hmm, has anyone had trouble booking this? I see plenty of availability until mid November but nothing past that...?

Review of our July 15 experience: Upon booking this pkg in June, I became nervous about our Tony's experience after reading reviews of the restaurant & almost canceled the pkg. I am so glad that I did not cancel. Our experience was great! Our party included 3 adults, 2 teens & a baby. Our app choices were the 2 charcuterie boards (meats & cheese), 1 calamari & 2 wedge salads. The calamari & wedge salads were the best choices. My only complaint about the meat board was the lack of variety of cheese selection. Our entrees included Shrimp Scampi (Excellent), Vegetarian Pizza, New York Strip (perfect temp), Baked Cannelloni, & Spaghetti & Meatballs. We were all pleased with our meals. Zero complaints. The desserts were literally the icing on the cake. My tiramisu was great, daughters' cannoli was awesome & the chocolate cake was great, too! The portion sizes were huge. We were all very happy with the experience. A great mid-day break in air-conditioned with full-service. As a bonus, we reserved a fast pass for meeting Mickey right after our meal. The area for the Electric Parade was spacious & well-secured. We arrived at the spot about 30 min early. This was a great pkg for our family as the teens wanted to go hard up until the parade without worrying about securing a spot, and we were all more than satisfied with our full lunch. (I don't think any of us were hungry again until after Wishes!

I have not tried the package, but just had lunch at Tony's on 7/13 and had a very good experience. I went in with low expectations, but wanted to try it, as we have yet to find a meal that wows us in MK, either CS or ADR. While it wasn't a wow, it was a lovel break, not crowded, private feeling booth seating, cheerful, efficient service. The Caesar was very good. I would order this as an entree in the future (just tried the appetizer portion). The marguerite flatbread was fine. I think most places in Disney botch flatbread and this one was no worse or better than most. Kids cheese pizza was happily consumed, as were kids ice cream sundae and chocolate "gelato" ( really ice cream). Although my preferred lunch while visiting MK would always be outside of the park, I would definitely return or consider the package if I wanted to see the parade.

We booked an ADR for Tony's main street electric parade in November. I held the reservation even though I know the MSEP is no longer happening after October since I hoped that Disney would offer something equivalent. The offer for the Tony's dinner package was to get a special viewing location for the Festival of Fantasy parade. Totally lame. We will definitely be canceling the ADR.

I don't know; it depends on if you have little ones or not. The FoF parade fps are always gone, and the couple of times we did it we loved the "front row" viewing. Plus, (no guarantee) but every time we've done it some of the characters in the parade stopped and interacted with my granddaughters, especially Alice and the 7 dwarfs. I would do it, personally.

We were able to get front row seats last time we visited MK not too far in advance in Frontierland. I would never use a fasts for a parade personally. In my experience the 3 pm parade has not been nearly as crowded as MSEP was in the past. It just doesn't seem like an equivalent offering to me. We will probably just cancel it.

Silly question but...

Is Tony's really so bad? I'd been thinking about trying it on our next trip, since it's the only Magic Kingdom restaurant we haven't eaten at yet. I was thinking the Lady and the Tramp-ish theme might appeal, and we do like our Americanized Italian food. (We like the real thing, too, we're just not terribly fussy where our food is concerned.)
Yes!!! IMHO.... It's the worst meal at the parks!
