New Reservation System

I read about the new reservation system where your rate changes if you overlap seasons, rather than just paying the rate for the beginning of your reservation.
Has anyone had experience with this yet?
I called reservations and was quoted the rate for the Holiday season for each night despite my reservation overlapping into the value season. According to the sysytem, the rate should drop once the value season starts. The reservationist (first one that I ever had difficulty with. I had to keep asking her to repeat what she said because I couldn't understand/hear her.) said the 2008 rates were not out yet so she had to use the 2007 rate and my rate would lower if the rate dropped for 2008.
Anyone experience this yet?
Also, when do 2008 rates come out? I thought they were out.

But if they don't keep confusing us , what will they do for fun;) ? If they don't adjust it, you can just make two separate reservations, and make sure to let them know you would like to keep the same room. Then at check in, let the CM know you have a continuing ressie and would like to stay in the same room if at all possible (say it very nicely. Holding a baby if you have one handy while you ask probably wouldn't hurt).

The new rating system hasn't yet been confirmed by Disney nor has it gone into effect obviously.

You won't see this play out until the 2008 room rates are released at the end of July or August.

Would this mean since we have ressies for November 21 of this year, which is in the one season, and we will be there on November 25th which starts value season that we should have 2 different prices instead of the way it is now where you pay the same price the whole time regarless of which season you are in.

To be perfectly clear IF Disney institutes this.. it wont' take effect till January 1, 2008 in all probability.

IF Disney institutes this.. the rates would change on a per-night basis; and that could mean that weekend nights cost more than weekday nights.. and if you straddle seasons.. you could actually have three or four rates in one stay.

Completely Made-Up Example:

Value Season : 74$ a night - Thursday
Value Season : 86$ a night - Friday
Value Season : 86$ a night - Saturday
Peak Season : 83$ a night - Sunday
