Just read on Mousesavers the new reservatiosn policy for resort guests. 90 days out from the start of your reservation you can book 10 days worth of PSs.Yahoo!
Of course at 6:50am today! This Saturday am I was awake and calling Disney to book my final Ps that I needed and have been routinely for the past week as my 90 day ps timeline came up for each day. When the CM answered he said "you are caller number 1" I laughed and said what did I win? I have never had this happen before after numerous calls and trips. A few days ago I ended up on hold for 1 hour and 12 minutes before getting through! Of course I didn't even need anything to tragically important just a lunch PS at MGM, of course if I needed Cindys for BFast this would have never happened. LOL!
Anyhow I think this is a nice perk for resort guests and will help me get more sleep!
Hope everyone that is booking for October 15th on can benefit from this!
:sunny:

This goes into effect on Monday according to Mousesavers but I just talked with Dining and they said it is being discussed but no decision has been made - I was so excited b/c I am going to be on the phone early tommorow and thought I might not have to get up!!

I was excited to hear about this too!! It's too late for this trip, but it'll be nice on future trips!! I only have to get up early and stay on hold for 45 mins. on one morning instead of 8!! :)
I hope it makes CRT breakfast easier too. I haven't had any luck with that one either! :rotfl:

This should definitely help on-site guests get reservations at CRT. It's yet-another wonderful bonus they're adding, to increase the value of booking your rooms on-site.

we recently were turned down from cm for dinner because they were all booked so i'm glad they changed it but WHAT exactly changed i thought we could always call 90 days before for crt and make as many ps as we wanted, pls.explain... :confused3

Instead of calling 90 days from the date you want to dine, you can call 90 days from the first day of your onsite stay, making reservations for up to 100 days before. For example, if you are arriving on 10/16, you can call tomorrow (90 days) and make reservations for your entire stay, up to 10/26.

while this much is true, please keep in mind that if you do the ADR's for people staying on property, and then, say change your resort, your ADR will cancel, because it's tied into your Original Reservation number.

I wonder what would happen if you decide to switch resorts, which would change your reservation #. I hope they would be able to transfer them over to the new #.

That would be a nice feature, assuming they can provide it. It would almost surely be something you'd need to specifically request, at the time you make your resort change.

Melody - yes it is, however it's not valid for Swan/Dolphin, SOG, downtown disney resorts etc.

From what I have found out (subject to change ;) ) is that the confirmation number gets you the 90 + 10 perk. If you change your resort reservation which causes a new confirmation number to be generated, this does NOT cancel the ADRs but you should contact WDW Dining and give them the new confirmation number.

I really think WDW should have integrated this better so such things would happen automatically without guests having to call WDW Dining again to make sure the ADRs weren't lost.

If you cancel your stay and have any ADRs which required a credit card deposit or prepayment, you will need to cancel those yourself or you will get a cancellation penality charged to your card for not showing up.

Of course, if you use a travel service, like Dreams Unlimited Travel, your agent should take care of all this for you.

OK, I have a question -- just a for instance.

90 days from August 1st people call for their reservations (90 days plus 10). So they are making reservations for August 1st through August 10th.

However, say my first day is August 9th. So I can call 90 days before August 9th and make reservations for August 9th through August 19th.

Now stay with me. All those other people have already made reservations for that August 9th day. Isn't it now harder for me to actually get a reservation for someplace like Cinderella's breakfast?

Thats the million dollar question disney1990. I personally think it would be. And BTW, you do have it right on how it would work.

However, rumor has it they will only release a few extra table outs that early for those making the 90+10. Also some say that there aren't enough people going to be calling in during that time to take away from you.

So it remains to be seen. These next couple of weeks should be very interesting.

What happens if you're booked as a grand gathering?

Can one person call and make PS for everyone in the group? Since I have to give my reservation number, they will know that there's only two people staying in my room. Will I still be able to book PS for the other two families traveling with us?

:confused3 :confused3

This sounds like a great perk. I wonder if they will extend it to the fireworks cruises as well?? :rotfl2: :cheer2:
