Which made me feel awful that she thinks that she needs to give us money for us to come back...
I mean we're family, we aren't going to just leave her there to rot.

She did it so that she feels better about having you help her. Most elderly people are like that. My gramma pays me for vacuuming. I don't even mind to vacuum.

My grandfather carries around several 100 dollar bills for when he sees us... he loves to give us money. My parents won't accept it though, everytime we call him he asks if they need money...
He doesn't have anything to spend it on so he wants to give it to us.
Everytime I see him I get 50.
My brother just got 1k from him a few weeks ago...

I dunno, I think it's strange to see that kind of sum of money just given to someone.

Thats way my Grandma and Grandpa are like they think they need to pay us back for everything I went to there house a few weeks ago and they insisted on buying me everything I saw. I was like I dont need that and they were like yes you do. I was like Um thank you. I felt really bad. Then they payed my parents back for my train ticket then gave my brother $200 who wasnt even there, then they insisted on paying for the boat motar my dad got fixed for them since we were storing then boat and using it ocassionally... and when my mom told them to keep the money they refused to take it back... My mom weas like thanks. This also isnt the first time they've done this and it always makes my family feel guilty.

My Grandma & Grandpa do exactly the same thing to me and my little brother. They are always handing us money and they always seem to have a ton of it in there wallets.
