New Quick Service Dinning Plan & Free Dinning!

Hey first time going to WDW this September, got the free dinning but Now I see this on the Official Disney Site for 2009, I did not see this for 2008 is this new for 2009, and is this what they are going to offer for free dinning in 2009,please share your thoughts, If so that 1 TS is going to be GREATLY missed!!!!!!!

This package includes your Disney Resort hotel accommodations, Theme Park ticket and Disney Dining Plan that offers two quick-service meals and two snacks per person, per night of your package stay. I suspect they will offer this new Quick Service plan for free dining, with an option to upgrade to the Plus or Deluxe plans by paying the difference between the cost of the QS and whichever plan you choose.

If free dining is offered again, would I take the basic Quick Service plan? Maybe, but we would definitely pay OOP for a few table service meals. I could see doing one every other day or something, probably for lunch when it's less expensive, and using the DDE card.

If free dining is offered again, would I upgrade to the Plus plan? Probably not. especially since the appetizers and gratuities don't appear to have been added back in . Paying for those, plus the cost to upgrade from the free QS plan, plus rack rate on the room adds up. I'll have to watch how much we spend on appetizers and gratuities next month to decide whether it would be worth it for us.

I agree with the PP. The quick service plan might end up being the free dining option.

I doubt it. The Plus dining plan is going to be the main seller for disney. The CS plan is going to be a "save the sale" kinda thing

I think Disney is saving the sale with the QSDP - a rack rate room - and the option for someone to pay $10/pp/day to upgrade for a TS. Disney would defiinitely make out better on the deal!

Sorry, I'm one of the - QSDP will be the free dining plan in 2009. Hope I'm wrong!

Well we could always save money by staying off property and visiting that "other" theme park.

I can't see how they would offer the regular plan as free dining anymore. Very few IMO would pay for the Quick Service plan if the regular plan was offered free.
