During our trip this week to WDW we walked into the stand-by line for Rockin' Roller Coaster. In the past we would do this and then begin the serpentine line through the metal poles that would move you into the ride. This time it was a very different experience.
We were given a card with B10 printed on the front and had no idea what it was. Then instead of entering the old stand-by line we were greeted into the new stand-by party area. In this area there was a DJ playing music and keeping the gang entertained, there was a tent with several "Guitar Hero" stations setup for those who enjoy that sort of thing, and another tent with more activities to keep you interested in the wait.
And as you are waiting you notice that groups are being called into the ride from the group of party people. We were group B10 (mentioned above) and you can keep track of the groups in front of you being called in so you are ready when it is time to ride the coaster. When we entered the group on deck was like A5 (there are 19 groups per letter ie: A1 to A19) and by the time our group was called it seemed like just minute. I believe there are 3-5 minutes per group.
We enjoyed it. Have you been through this queue yet? What did you think?
