New Purchase Timeline Questions??

Hi,
I attended the open house deal at BLT on July 11th and after years researching and debating back and forth I decided to buy, 200 points. I only signed 1 paper which I believe was a credit ap/purchase agreement. My guide told me that I would get the rest of the paper work in the mail and that they did not have the manpower to process all the purchases right then.

My question is this. Was this the closing document? What are the closing documents like? I didn't see any part of it with a phase/room number or anything like that.

I did stop by and pick up a membership card with a number on it at SSR , and I got an email with a code to sign up for dvcmember.com but I do not have a Club ID.

Just curious from those of you with experience where I am at in the process and when would I be able to make my first reservation.

You can probably make your reservation now. Give MS a call and they will walk you through setting up your website access.

You will get a FedEx package in a week or ten days with 25 pages or so of legal documents. Follow the instructions and return in the provided FedEx mailer.

I also signed up for 200 points at BLT on July 11.
I got my Fed Ex box in the mail on Wednesday. I live only 30 min from Disney.
We are sending the enclosed FedEX envelope back today.

I intend to call to try and book our first stay today!

There are a lot of papers to sign in the box. One of them needs to be notarized.
There are also temporary membership cards in there.

Congratulations to you both!!! You will get your papers soon. ut, as PP said, give MS a call to help you set up the website and, if you are ready, make your first reservation!

If you are financing through Disney, you will have to have one of the papers notarized. Other than that, just sign near the mickeys, date the palm trees, and send them all off!!!

Since you already have your mebership number and the code for the website you can just set that up and you will be able to view your points. If for some reason they were not yet available you would be able to tell.

Hope you don't mind my asking and maybe I'm missing something- if you are only 30 minutes from WDW, why would you stay on property instead of just driving home after a visit? I'm not sure BLT points would make sense. I could see VGC ones if you wanted to hit the other coast, but BLT? Plus, your sig has SSR? Don't get me wrong, I think it's cool that you are a fellow owner in any case!

I know I'm crazy. Actually we started buying DVC before we moved down to Florida. So now we are stuck on the room size.

When I stay at DVC resort I don't go to the parks much. I hang out at the hotel. Enjoy the pool. Rent watercraft. Attend stuff at the community hall.

Also I don't usually go for a whole week. I take long weekend breaks.

Its cheaper than flying.

And yeah, we have 130 points at SSR too.
