New Publix Near Convention Center-Area Hotels

For anyone who might be staying in the Universal Blvd./I-Drive area near the Orange County Convention Center, there is a brand-new Publix supermarket on Universal Blvd. a bit north of FL 528. At least it seemed new to me. It had a pretty good selection of Disney souvenir-type merchandise as well as all the usual supermarket stuff, including a great deli counter. My niece and I made a stop there for some Disney knickknacks and some beverages for our hotel mini-fridge. (We were staying at the SpringHill Suites just up the street on the Travelzoo promotion -- a great deal.)
