I have heard people talking about new DVC villas at: Animal Kingdom Lodge, the Contemporary, and even Disneyland. Has anyone else heard this? Do you think it will happen? Where would they put villas in Disneyland? Just wondering!

There have been many, many rumors about all of these (I am rooting for AKLV ). You could do a search and stay up all night reading about this topic, but so far nothing has been confirmed

You forgot Hawaii, Eagle Pines, Polynesian, Colorado, the Moon, Mars, and under a silly sign on the backside of Epcot. I am sure that I am missing many as well.

While you are searching, remember that the sign is not, I repeat NOT, going to announce what the next resort will be!! Do I have that right?

My vote is Disneyland and/or Poly.

One rumor I haven't heard is a cruise ship villa. I'm not interested in it but am curious if it would work. Seems many members are interested in cruises. Probably completely impractical, which might explain why there are no rumors.

a cruise ship villa would be great if it is more affordable than what the current point use is for a cruise. If they had a per room rate or a more reasonable per person rate. They may notice lots of members renting or transfering points and not as many using points for a cruise. AKL or Poly would be great also.

Oh my gosh! I would freak out if they made villas at the Poly, I have always wanted to stay there but the points are ridiculous! I really don't see that happening though. Seeing as how they just rennovated the whole resort it seems like if they were planning on making villas they would do it during the rennovation. It wouldn't make sense to rennovate guest rooms and then tear them apart in the near future to convert them into villas. Oh well, I can dream.

All these rumours have been around for a long time. Last summer I did a poll on what resort(s) would be announce within 2-3 years. Here is the poll. As time goes on it looks like the CR is very likey to happen and soon. There has been more hints of Hawaii from guides. Hints that all deluxes may have DVC's in the future increasing the possibility of Poly and GF. So we continue to wait.

Someone on the Rumors Board posted on Feb 1 that they just got back from WDW and saw their guide at that time. Said guide said that they are trying to sell out last stage of SSR so they can do villas at the Contemporary and then the Polynesian.

Like the latest: that there will eventually be a DVC Resort at every on-site Disney Resort!
