I haven’t seen this posted (nor could I search) but maybe it has already been discussed. We just got back (see post We are Crazy) from a quick 2 day trip on 7/24 & 25 and noticed a new Preschool Concierge Service area neat the POTC (also one in Tomorrow land). This was a small indoor A/C'd area with a TV, couches, microwave and kids toys. I think a CM can also help with PS if you ask. We were sitting at a table across from POTC near the entrance and saw it. While we were still eating lunch my two DS’s (9 & 6), although not really Preschoolers, asked if they could go in and watch TV. The CM allowed them in and let them relax for a while. It was really nice. The CM said it has only been open for a few weeks and is still in trial mode. She stated the one in TM is much bigger with rest areas for babies (good for us since we have a 5 week old). We will be taking advantage of these again over Labor when we return.

I read something about this somewhere (I can't remember where), but I remember thinking that I was disappointed when I read it because my kids are 6 and 8 and they were over the age that was described in whatever it was I read. So, once i read that the kids were too old I didn't pay much attention to the rest of it.

We will be taking advantage of these again over Labor when we return.

Over Labor? Wow! Do they have obstetricans available for you?

You need a priority seating to access this rest area?

One of my neighbors was there over the 4th of July and was talking about the one in Tomorrowland and how nice it was and I couldn't quite figure out what she was talking about as I didn't see it last summer - guess cause it is new!

Too Funny :p , I meant Labor Day Weekend.

That Labor was back on 6/18. Actually there was no Labor since it was a C-Sec.

Nope, a PS is not needed. In fact they didn't seem to care that I didn't even go in. We were seated at a table in Peco Bill's cafe eating lunch and could see the entrance to the area. My girls just walked over and asked the CM if they could go and she let them.

Tell me more about this / these areas please. I have a 4 year old and a 1 year old so this is idea for our family.

Where are they located and what is in them. Is this a place for you to go in and relax?

Thanks,
Lisa

I would appreciate more info. as well, I am going in Oct. with a 4 yr. old and an 8 month old.

Sounds like I will be taking advantage of these!!!

Thanks for the great tip, to this point, all I knew of was the baby care center near the CP, according to this post, these are 2 more places to stop and rest within the park!!!

LuvAriel

I'll try to post more later, I think I have the flyer at home with more info but this is what I remember/know.

There are 2 locations in MK. We visited the one across from POTC next to Pecos Bill Cafe' and kind of behind El Pirata Y El Perico Restaurant. I'm not sure where the other location is except that it was in Tomorrow land. There was a small sign located in the walk way pointing towards the Concierge area. The entrance was next to a water fountain that my girls were playing around. The CM said this one was smaller than the TM location. This location had a TV, a couple of couches and chairs, a small toy box with games, a table with crayons and pictures, a microwave and a computer for the CM (I think to check for PS if you ask). The CM said the other location had a rest area for babies and they could take naps there if needed.

Also, I'll be back over Labor day so if more isn't posted by others I'll look into the location in TM and post more about it.

Hope that helps.

This info. is fabulous!!!!!

I very much appreciate it, thanks for taking the time and giving the details!!

I am going to call Disney now and see if this will be something permanent. Hopefully it is and will be there when I arrive in Oct.

Thanks again,
Andrea

Just called Disney. It's called Kiddie Concierge. There are two locations (just like OP said), one by the Pirates of the Carribbean and the other by Space Mountain. He said it's a place for kids to get out of the heat of the day, take a breather, they have water there and a small place to rest. It's just being tested because the room that it's at wasn't being used for anything else.

He said it's not like a babysitting service (too bad, LOL!) but a place where parents can take their little ones just to get out of the heat for a while without having to leave the parks.

Thanks for letting us know about this!

Sherri :)

Sherri,
Thanks for saving me the phone call, I am at work and I was going to wait until I get home tonight.

Just wondering, did they happen to mention how long they are testing this for, will it still be functional in October???

Thanks,
Andrea

Nope. In fact, the CM I talked to had to call another place just to find out about this himself. He hadn't heard of it.

Hope it's still there then... but I imagine the demand for it will definitely keep it there!

Sherri :)
