New Premier Annual Pass

I have rang Universal, and was able to renew my cards until Dec 07, however, the premier annual pass is not in the system yet, so I couldn't buy it yet

Today was the first day they started selling it. You will have to call to get it until the link is active. The website always lags behind in information. They are first sending out letters to passholders and other select groups before they start pushing the sales. Try calling tomorrow. They started selling them at the parks today.

Thanks Phamton

I will try again tomorrow, at least now my pass is valid for 15 months

The operator did try and tell me it was going to cost $100 + $279 for the upgrade, but he went away to check and came back with the correct info. It was then he actually told me he couldn't actually sell me one.

Wonder if there will still be availability when I begin two year pass in Dec? In the link I didn't notice preferred seating for dining, did I miss it? I notice it reads "Express Pass Plus" line. Is there more than one express line or do onsite guests and express pass purchasers use the same express queue? Thanks.

we got the invitation to upgrade in the mail today. what's the Golf Universal Program? that's a new one to me.

Just noticed this in the link:

*All benefits subject to availability and to change without notice and cannot be combined with any other offers, promotions or discounts (including Buy One Year, Get One Year passes, complimentary passes, and discounted renewed passes). Additional restrictions may apply.

My friend was a few months into her buy one year get one free pass and the flyer was sent to her asking if she wanted to upgrade. :confused3

Yep, they just added that. I heard today that the 2 year can be upgraded but you will give up your second year.

I finally got round to ringing Universal again, and this time I was able to upgrade my current passes to Premier ones and they are valid until Dec 07.

When we arrive in December we have to go to the std ticket windows and not guest relations to get our new passes.

Drat, guess when it seems like too good of a deal........

okay, I have not upgrade it to any pass yet,I still go using regular tickets.

I was thinking about getting the power pass,or the bell pass, but now I m thinking.....Where are the advantages?

about the bells pass U have to give up one year, pay 100.00 and ONLY have a pass valid for a year?

I don`t see WHY I want to give a year and on top of that pay 100.00 bucks?

Is this really a good offer?

I am still lokking to upgrade any of my regular park tickets, but I don`t see a good reson why do the upograde!

Thank God for the 10.00 dollar upgrade 4-7 during HHN so I don`t have to use any of my regular tickets!!!!!

So I just renewed my annual pass on 9/4 for another 2 years for $180 (I didn't know they let you do this, but they offered me the 2 year renewal for $180 so I went for it). The expiration date is 9/23/08 since I renewed ahead of my expiration.

I got the mailing about this premier annual pass a few days later and it looks like it'll be a great deal for me since I just renewed and I'll pretty much get the full 2 years. I called today to upgrade and was told that they were unable to upgrade me on a 2 year pass and that if I upgraded I'd forfeit a full year of my pass. I objected that the mailing and the website both state "The expiration date of your Premier Annual Pass will remain the same as the current expiration date of your 2-Park Preferred Annual Pass." I was forwarded to a supervisor and left a message explaining the situation. I'm still waiting on the call back, so we'll see what happens.

You would think that they would've thought of this before, but guess not. Anyone in a similar situation have any luck with this?

Did the supervisor called back?
What is the latest news?
Phamton is 100% correct when she says, "you will give up your second year?"
Thanks

2 more days for me to buy or NOT to buy the bealls pass.

So I got a call back the day after I had originally called. She started out saying something about how I had trouble the first time because I had gotten a second year for free. I argued that saying that this was a renewal and a one year renewal was $99 and I paid an extra $80 for the second year. It sounded like they would still be relunctant to give me both years, so I continued pleading my case when she interrupted and asked "Can I please finish?" So I shut up and she said she would "override" the expiration date to match the current expiration date of my annual pass (which turned out to be 9/25/2008). So luckily I got in on the deal without needing to put up much of a fight. I'm not sure how easy it will be to go purchase the buy 1 year get 1 free deal and then upgrade for $99, but if the website continues to say "The expiration date of your Premier Annual Pass will remain the same as the current expiration date of your 2-Park Preferred Annual Pass" you'll probably be able to argue it. To help your case, feel free to say you know someone who got the deal for the full two years ;-)

I think you got the full 2 years because essentially you paid for a 2 year renewal. A one year renewal is $99 plus tax and you paid almost twice that amount ($179 plus tax). If someone just bought the AP outright (and not a renewal), their second year was free. I believe that is why they made the exception for you. I'm glad they made that exception as it sounds like you did deserve it.

Unearthing this topic again. Found out the renewal price for the Premier Annual Pass..

THERE IS NONE.

You have to buy a NEW Premier Annual Pass when yours expires. You will not get a discount upon renewing. Atleast that is what a ticket agent outside IOA told me yesterday.

huh??? That doesn't make sense?? :confused3

If that's the case I hope they would at the very least let those of us that had been premiere pass holders for years go back to the premiere fior $99.

I think that would tick a great many people off if that's true....
