New "Pre- Pressed" Penny Machines

I wonder if they'll still come out hot?

They do still come out of the machine hot, they're actually pressed while you're standing at the machine. You get the see the whole thing happen, you're just not an active participant. I was trying to steer clear of the new machines, but my daughters saw the Frozen one at DTD, and, well let's just say that I'm a softie.

Can you tell me round-about - how many pressed pennies those MENTOS CONTANERS hold???

We're guessing about 25 maybe. My daughter is explaining that if you crank the hand-crank ones slowly, it comes out kind of curved and takes up more space She got about 14 on our last trip and guesses it's about half full.

Just in case any of you Pressed Penny fans aren't aware,there is a special Agent P Pressed Penny given to Guests as part of "some" of the Agent P World Showcase Adventures in France.

It's the only way to get it.

A CM even gives you the penny to put in the machine and it starts working without putting in the quarters!

I hope that Disney does not go all digital on the penny press machines! We always make these a special souvenir for DGDs. I decorate the mentos & M&M containers and Tinkerbell leaves the brand new pennies/quarters on the first evening when they return from dinner. The girls have always gotten so much enjoyment out of cranking that machine and choosing which pressed pennies they want.

Disney, please listen...sometimes the old mechanical way of doing things is more fun...please don't digitize this process also.

We never saw any automated machines (we didn't go to DTD). I think the panic of them replacing the old versions was unwarranted. Don't worry, the old machines are still plentiful
