Hello everyone! I'm Jamie and I wanted to introduce myself. My husband and I are planning a big WDW family vacation in August/September of 2011 and I'm hoping to find some planning tips on here. We'd really like to do this trip on a budget so anyone who has advice or can point me in the right direction to start I'd really appreciate it. Looking forward to getting to know you all!

:welcome: You've come to the right place to find everything you need to know about WDW. There is a budget forum if you haven't checked that out yet. Otherwise, just start asking your questions on the appropriate forums and you will get all the answers you need and then some!!!

Welcome! After reading these boards (mostly resort, restaurant, and theme park strategy threads) I learned how to save money on almost every aspect of a WDW trip. So will you!

Is it you and DH or do you have children as well? Also, how long are you planning to stay?

Well, August/September is typically when the annual Fall Free Dining promo is going on and it's a huge money saver, especially if you have a large family or group going. We are a family of six and we usually get two connecting rooms at a value resort for 8 nights and the free dining discount saves us about $1,200.00
The fall free dining dates for 2011 will probably be released around the end of March/first of April, 2011.

Also, if you are going for free dining plan to make your Advance Dining Reservations ASAP, as seatings for the popular restaurants and character meals will book up fast.
