New Port Richey

I know it's not strictly on topic, but can anybody tell me anything about New Port Richey ? Is it good for kids ? What are the restaurants like ? etc.

New Port Richey is really more of a retirement community. I have been there several times for business and there was not a lot to do. (It has been several years however). You can go on up to Silver Springs and see the Mermaids. I don't recall the dining options being outstanding either.
