New Popular Songs to sing for competitions!

My name is Carissa and I need some help. I take competitive singing classes and I am 13 almost 14. I am looking all over for popular songs that are on the charts right now to sing! My favs are inspirational songs. I do not really do good with country ... but pop. My range in singing goes pretty far, but I have one lung so I have a BIG disadvantage in some parts other children can do. Plz if some people can help me find good songs. I also have an advantage! I have sang Miley Cyrus " The Climb" and right now I am working on " When I Look at You". Miley Cyrus, to me I like alot, would be an awesome choice for other songs by her. That was actually really pretty good for your age! Most 13 year olds i know don't sing like that. The was a pretty good song choice too! But, yea i'd definitely go the Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus route.

hi carrissa my name is joey i am also 13 and do compete in singing myself i have found that any thing taylor swift and, even though i hate to say it, the cover of cyndi lauper's girls just wanna have fun by miley cirus is good if you want to sing something by her i also believe you can never go wrong with original cyndi lauper and beatles songs i hope you do well in your competitons and i bet your really good so i hope we never compete

Thanks for looking at my video. I hoped you would enjoy it! Yes, it is very hard to sing like I do but I enjoy it very much. Miley Cyrus is a really good route for me and Taylor Swift is also a good one to try. My mom wanted me to try singing " Fifteen" by Taylor Swift over summer vacation. Its a good song and I like her suggestion. Do you?

Thats great that we have so much in common! That is a good idea to do one by cydi lauper. I do not know a whole lot about her, but I will be sure to look her up. The Beatles on the other hand ... well ... everyone knows about them!

i get that you don't know alot about cyndi lauper i didn't untill celebrity apprentice but now i am obsessed i am thinking about dying my hair like she had it in the 80s but her songs are pretty easy to sing but you have to have a pretty wide range i watched your video and your really good
