New Pool at the Fort????

Has anybody heard about upgrades to the meadow pool? When we were at the Fort in July, a lifeguard mentioned that they were going to renovate the pool and make it more like the Wilderness Lodge pool with a waterslide and faux rocks etc....He said this was supposed to be happening in the fall.
We have a visit planned for October and was wondering if the pool will be under construction? or will it be finished?

If you have any info about a new pool please let me know!

Woo Hoo!

We haven't been to the fort, yet. Just got our first camper (an older RV ) this year.

We are looking forward to visiting the Fort in 2010. A better pool just might let me save some $$ by passing on the Waterparks and More ticket option.

We go to the Fort all the time and are perfectly content with just hanging around the campground. We usually hit Dowtown Disney but we don't have to go to the parks. Bring your bikes! It is a great place to bike! If you have a golf cart, bring that too! Everybody gets around in a golf cart. We don't have one so we bike instead. Occasionally, we rent one but it is $50 a day! This is a great place to learn everything you need to know about the Fort! Can't wait to see the new pool!

Ah, hot tubs. Nothing like sitting in a tub of hot water basting yourself with bacteria that have been on other guests in places I don't even want to think about.

Yeah Rhonda and John have put a damper on my hottub spirit by calling it "people soup and human stew". EWWWWWWWW.

You can do what you want, but there have been some NASTY infections traced back to hot tubs. Make yourself feel better thinking the chlorine or ozonators are killing the bugs, but when these things are cleaned out (and it's not often) there is all kinds of crud in the lines which culture out coliforms ( think E. coli from poop). No thanks, I'll leave the hot tub to the more adventurous.

I won't get a pedicure for the same reason. Sure you clean the bowl but the jets still have all the old water and bacteria in them. EWWWW.
