It's part of the existing association. So it's bookable by most resale purchasers.

Poly2 is currently not available to any member to book on points, and there is still no word on when that will be possible. Things filed so far show it is not being created as a new DVC Resort, to which resale reservation restrictions would apply, but instead is being added to the original Poly1, just like the new building at VGF was added to the original VGF a few years ago.

As a result, the resale reservation restrictions that currently exist will not apply, except for one: the resale reservation restriction which prohibits resale purchasers of Riviera, CFW, and VDH from booking any DVC resort other than the one they own.

With an opening date of 12-17-24, anyone wanting a December through March will be within the 7 month open booking period. I expect the day they open booking will be a madhouse, with rooms gone in seconds for the entire period.

VGF2 had a 2 month booking window where only VGF owners could book the new resort studios at BPK, sales opened 3/3/22 & booking for owners of VGF opened mid March. https://dvcnews.com/wdw-resorts/grand-floridian/5244-resort-studio-reservations-open-march-14-2022 Booking for everyone else opened mid May.
If they follow the VGF 2 pattern, existing + new tower Poly owners will have the chance to book a stay before the floodgates open for the stampede of non Poly owners .

I think there will be early access for PVB owners (resale and direct) before opening up to the whole DVC. Once it opens to all, it will be a frenzy.

Booking frenzy will depend on point charts. I expect high point charts, near VGF. Yes some will want to stay there because it’s new. We still haven’t stayed at RIV, I don’t foresee us staying at RIV or Poly 2.
