Has anybody recently been to the revamped "Spirit of Aloha"...

I would like comments on the food, the show, and the seating/theatre.

Specifically:

How is the food, what do they serve?

I hear they sing "hawaiian roller coaster", does Lilo and Stitch show up for this?

I know the seating is outside, but do they cool it at all, because DH and kids are VERY picky about sweating while they eat!!! Also are the seats VERY low to the ground, because DH has back issues?

I was also wondering the cost, and if recommended for children? also how long is it?

We were just there last Sunday.

They start with salad, coconut bread, and fresh pineapple. They then bring out ribs, chicken, rice, and mixed veggies. For dessert they have a volcano cake....sorta a vanilla cake with a chocolate, berry filling. I enjoyed the food. The ribs were better than the chicken. The dessert was really good. You also have unlimited beverages including 2 types of beer and a chablis and a cabernet sauvignon.

I don't remember this particular song. No, there is no Lilo and Stitch

It is outside covered seating. There are ceiling fans but when we were there they weren't needed. The seats are regular tables and chairs.

Erikarate - When are you going? Hubby and I saw the show Oct.2, 2002 and we were sweating to death! OMG, I've been in Colorado for so long that I've forgotten how hot Florida is. We enjoyed the show and the food was good, however they gave us way too much, but we were hot!:p Dress as cool as you can and enjoy!

Yikes Monte...we are going in July. I'll be sure to tell my family to dress in cool clothing. Maybe I should switch from the 5:15 show to the 8:00 show??
