New Poll: Resort for later this year!

Hi,

Decided to uodate poll. Please post reason for choice! Here's some background.

Mom & I will have to go to Orlando for a canine companions for independence interview sometime this year. The interview will take a whole day so why not spend a few days @ Disney? I'll have 73 points to use. I'm thinking @ least 3 days. Hopefully Sunday through Wednesday. No heavy parks just a place to relax & have a little fun (night shows, eating, sleeping in ect.) Don't really care where to stay. Would want a studio, HA, non smoking.

I think OKW is good for a laid back relaxing vacation. Will you have a car? We always rent a car, I can't imagine being there without one and have to depend on busses everywhere.

The DTD view is amazing! Why not try a new resort too?

I only have stayed at BWV for my DVC visits...I have lots of CM's that I consider friends....

I picked OKW because it's relaxing and the studios have 2 beds, not a bed and a sofa.

BWV

1. Close to a lot of eating options either in a resort or in a park. With OKW, you have one choice and have to take transportation otherwise. With BWV you have lots of options on the BW, in the other resorts and at Epcot or MGM. With SSR, you have many choices also, probably about the same distances. BWV/SSR tie

2. Relax - you can relax at all. BWV/SSR/OKW tie

3. Night shows - none at OKW so have to take buses, choices at BWV (Epcot, MGM, BW all in easy distance or can watch from the BW/bridge and maybe room), SSR closer to PI and night clubs if you are into them. But you can take the bus from BWV or OKW to get to those also. BWV the only one with an "out the back door" entertainment area for BW and Jellyrolls. BWV gets the edge here for that.

BWV 3, SSR 2, OKW 1

This is just how I would vote on your preferences. You may sway to the PI/DTD entertainment side, but I don't. That would shift from BWV to SSR in the voting.

Assumption: All of your requirements carry equal weight.

And the pool is much closer at BWV than the other resorts. Just out the back door. I like that. BUT SSR has zero entry.

Eh, I just think it comes down to SSR and BWV for convenience and options.

We own at BWV and OKW. Although I love the location of BWV, I do not like the Villas nor the layout of the resort.

We are staying at OKW (we think of it as home). We also want to try out the new slide (been waiting over 10 years for this). We love DVC and we LOVE OKW.

Next thing to work on at OKW is a salon in the complex!

I picked SSR. The resort is brand new and close to DTD. If your not that interested in the parks, than it seems the entertainment so close to the resort would be a plus. Good luck deciding.

I would go with OKW because of the relaxing pace there, but you might want more hustle and bustle. It's ineresting that the voting seems to be pretty equal. That just goes to show that wherever you chose, it will be GREAT!

We are staying at OKW for 7(possibly 8) nights in June and then another 7 nights at SSR in Dec. I am also staying at HHI in Mar by myself. So voting with my dollars and points, I guess there is more than one. OKW is my choice for June because the points are less and SSR is a. home and b. easy walking distance from Downtown Disney.

I voted OKW I got the impression you wanted laid back I agree with the other poster, OKW is very laid back. Plus you'll (hopefully) get to use the brand new pool.

I voted OKW although I have never stayed there. I would try it out for a short stay where hitting the parks were not a priority. Whatever you choose, have fun!
