Thread closed? Did I miss something? Just very busy trying to work full time while going to school 5 nights a week 3 hours a night while trying to raise 4 kids while trying to study 25 hours a week while trying to be a good husband.......................argh

I kind of read both places, but have found it difficult to make friends with anyone as of yet. I'm still new, so that's probably it. I did find during the baseball playoffs that the CB was very volatile and people were just downright nasty. At the end of the year, I did try out an exchange, and found that to be a good experience.

i only visit over at the DVC CB but I post on the TAGLIARCHY Threads on the DIS CB. I avoid the controversial threads. Maybe I should introduce myself over here too..

I tend to avoid the Dis CB ever since they got rid of the Debate board. I really don't want to know your political afflication, religion etc....

I love the word "afflication" ... a cross between affiliation and affliction ... both of which are more than appropriate when discussing politics.

There is no board but the one called DIS. And DVC is where the action is!

I didn't vote. The large majority of my posts are on the Dis CB because I like word games, and I've also participated in a few exchanges there, and that has been fun. So, I think I've "met" some really nice people there, but...I do come here more often. Next to this, I like the Flower and Garden Board best. We've done a few Christmas card exchanges, but it's really a much smaller community. I've also gotten good advice on the DCL board.

I guess, I'm just a happy Dis'er!

. . .is how I voted. With that said I do, however, have a dis, Pixie Dust addiction.

Someone over at the Budget Boards said, "Pixie Dust has got to be more addictive than any drug known to man!"

Anyway, I tend to stay away from the Dis CB because they can get pretty nasty over the littlest things.

The boards should never been split in the first place. It's confusing. How many times have you gotten onto either board and seen many post moved to the other board. Evidently I am not the only one who is confussed about what goes where. Just when I think I have it I see a post moved that looked as if it belonged where it was...smjj

The CB scares me a little. I'm better in small groups!

There's also too many threads going over there. I just don't have time to go through them all! I'm going to be over there more often now with the book club starting up, but I just do a search for that thread. Much easier to find that way!

Well, it seems I'm the exception. I started on the Cruise board, then spent a fair amount of time on the DVC board (before there was a DVC-CB). And then migrated over to the CB while still hanging out on the DVC board. On the CB I mostly hang out on the Riddle and Angel threads and really like the community of people there. By the time the mods started the DVC-CB I was spending most of my time on the CB and wandering over to the DVC boards just to check things out. The funny thing is that many of my buddies on the Riddle and Angel threads are DVC owners too!
