If I were to renew my pass 29 days after it expired would it expire 15 months from when the old pass expired or 15 months from when I renewed. If it is the latter we'll be able to squeeze in an extra trip. Well worth the $20 price increase.

Your AP expiration date doesn't change. There are no gaps. When you renew you still have the same expiration date.

If you renew and get the 3-month extension, the day will stay the same (i.e. the 10th of the month) but it will be 3 months later. There's no advantage to waiting 29 days after it expires to renew.

EXCELLENT, that would put me at the end of December 2010 - just in time for the podcast cruise.
