new point rental business growing...

Looks like the point rental business is growing. TSS does it now and another site that is also renting out for $12-$14 ppt. Im sure ebay will be next. Anyone tried renting it from them at this price outside of this board. Is the process any different from renting it here?

As I recall, TSS is doing this primarily for owners with distressed and underwater deeds, as a stopgap for owners who can't bring cash to closing on a sale. Ebay is more of a bargain-basement market. RCI exchanges find their way there, but it's hard for legitimate owners to compete.

You are correct. People try it anyway, and some probably succeed. Not a risk I'd take with my vacation dollars.

So if the person selling the reservation asks for $95 on top of the fee for the trip, you know you have an RCI resale.

Perhaps - there is risk in a transfer, too.

Also, remember that not all points can be transferred.
