New POFQ, old PO refillable mugs

We're staying at POFQ in May. I have refillable mugs from the "old" Port Orleans hotel. What are the odds I can still use them? Any ideas?

I don't remember which board it was on but the refillable mugs are only good for the length of your stay at the time. I thought they could be reused also but after the huge debate on the board I learned that was not the case. I guess we will have to buy new mugs when we go in Nov. Not a big deal for us though

Chager: I don't think that it was a clear answer. However, if you read the thread you can see that it is very clear for me and the rules support my conclusion. Nevertheless, I respect the view of others (or try to) and would certainly never confront a person using an older mug (or bread bag for that matter!).

Good choice to buy new mugs.

I used my old POFQ mugs on Nov. visit to POR with no problem. When my mugs were purchased, I was told they were good forever at the same resort. I took the CM at his word.

jst back from POR and it clearly states on the new mugs " Free refills until the end of your stay and it also states on the other side"Refills only at location purached..............No one was there to follow through with this.......... We saw people with old POR mugs, blizzard beach mugs and other resorts........filling up.
It sure is a generation who jsut don't care too much about the rules ......

I want to thank everyone for their input. I was interested in the policy because I don't know that much about it. It sounds like it's possible to use the old mugs, but it's up to my conscience.

BTW, I find myself addicted to these boards. There is truly an amazing amount of information here.

LOL! Ain't that the truth.

I've got to add that my family was also told we could use the mugs forever as long as they were used at the resort we bought them at. That goes for the PO mug I bought in the mid 90's and the AS mug I bought in 1999. If things have changed, fine but that was part of the sales pitch (Good Forever) when we bought them.

I totally agree that if they said you could use them any time .use them..They can't sell it to you with that pitch and then change.......... We were not told anything .just read the mug....and saw lots of other mugs being refilled.....

I guess I am guilty for filling up my Epcot souvenir mug on my recent stay. No one told me not to, though! Haha...
