Since I'm not eligable for an upgrade for my current Cell Phone and I don't have an Ipod touch, the cost of buying an IPhone will be $650 with tax, and then $5.95 for the App.

Oh yea, I forgot about the additional $20 per month 3G network cost and the additional GPS cost.

Our 14 year old daughter has an IPhone. May be one day, I'll be able to afford one for myself.

I don't understand why you're bringing this up. DIS doesn't control the cost of an iPhone. I think one would buy an iPhone for other reasons besides an app for one website.

By the way, there is no additional GPS cost.

I think it is just that we non-iPhoners sometimes feel a little left out.

But I am okay with it.
I am very proud of the way I manage my money, spend less than I earn, have no debt, don't buy what I don't need.
And I have a very full and wonderful life! :goodvibes

Oh, for Pete's sake (no pun intended.) It isn't like we prevented you from getting an iPhone. Neither did the podcast crew.

If you can't afford it...well, that isn't our fault. Geez. Hop on the bus, go to Wahtown and moan about it there.

Me, I'll probably buy it. I still haven't figured out what it is as I haven't listened to this week's podcast or found a thread that had details. But I'll spend the $5 or whatever it is. :)

And if it sucks, I'll want my money back. ;)

I am not sure if this is a joke or not, but I would like to say that the iPhone is the best thing I have ever bought. It is worth every penny.

Who needs an iphone i have me :P i know where all most every thing is lol

I am not joking.

I suppose I could afford an iPhone. But I am chosing not to put my money there.

Perhaps if someone lent me (yes, I am joking) their iPhone, I could see what all the fuss is about and I might be convinced.

In the meantime, I am taking the philosophy - what I don't know, I won't miss.

hhmmm... how'd that work for you, Nikki?

All this from a person who doesn't even use up the minimum number of yearly minutes in a Tracfone. But then, Kevin says his is ever so much more than a phone. No! Tell me no more... What I don't know I won't miss!

The people who will complain about not having an iPhone so not being able to buy the app strikes me as odd....

It is like complaining that you want to buy a lawn mower but you don't have a lawn......

Some people just like complaining. I for one cannot afford an iPhone, as the costs in Canada are just crazy compared to other countries.

That said, I can't see any reason to complain that anyone that doesn't have the iPhone is being left out. It's an accessory for a phone you don't have, so stop complaining. I'm sure it's well worth the cost for those iPhone users/ Dis listeners, but it's no different than the review of baby stations for those of you who don't have small children. Move on, and enjoy the rest of the show.

Do you remember the days when you weren't sure if you should buy one? :) :)

I thought having a Blackberry was the height of technology but I now know I was wrong. The iPhone is awesome!

That's it Kathy. Keep pushing me to drink the iPhone Kool-Aid :lmao:

I don't want a lawnmower, so I don't buy a lawn, or the house that goes on top of it.

I don't want to spend money on an iPhone that, so far, has been unnecessary in my life.

I am not complaining about having a "simplified" life.

Comes from living in Maine, where we live in "gentile poverty"!
