My apologies if this is a duplicate post, but I didn't find it any any searches of recent threads.
Just got an email today from the Disney Dining Experience (we're members) informing us that as of January 1, 2007, ALL clubs on PI except for Adventurer's Club and Comedy Warehouse will be 21 and older ONLY.
Here's the text of the email:
"We would like to inform you that as of the evening of Jan1, 2007 there will be a new admissions policy to the Pleasure Island dance clubs. The BET Soundstage Club, 8TRAX, Mannequins Dance Palace, Motion and Rock n Roll Beach Club will be available to individuals age 21 and over, with acceptable forms of identification.
The Adventurers Club and The Comedy Warehouse will remain available to all Guests, and consistent with current policy, Guests under the age of 18 are required to be accompanied by an adult."
I must say I'm a bit disappointed they didn't just take it all the way, but I think this is a great direction. They can't be all things to all people - if it's a night spot for adults, make it that; if it's a night spot for families, make it that - you can't be both and I think they're figuring that out.
