I am new here and need help. We family of five are going to WDW in September. my husband and i do not have credit or debit cards we pay in cash or money orders. (keeps us out of trouble):o So my question is how do i reserve plain tickets, lodging, biggest problem car rental? Thank you in advance:sunny:)

You can book your plane tickets and go to the airport or city ticket office to pay cash for them and pick them up. Perhaps a friend or relative with a CC could charge the tickets on their card and you can pay them in cash?

Hotel rooms at WDW you can book, they send you a reservation slip and you can mail back your deposit with a MO.

The car is going to be a big problem. One or two of the agencies will take a cash deposit, but it's $500, they run your credit and if you don't qualify you do'nt get the car. It has to be taken care of in advance. At WDW you don't really need a car--you can take a shuttle or car service from the airport, and WDW will get you anywhere on property that you need to go with their system of buses, boats, and monorails.

I agree with ducklite that there really is no reason for a car if you are staying at a WDW resort.
The only option I can think of is to have your vacation booked through a travel agent. You probably won't get any WDW resort discounts unless you use AAA, and not all their prices are discounted. At least through a travel agent you can have everything put together for you (air, hotel, car rental) and then you can pay them in cash.
Good Luck!!!!!

Just an idea...
Our nearby dollar car rental agency has advertised that you can pre-pay your reservation with them for where ever you're going. Maybe you could inquire at your local rental agency if you could pre-pay thru them for the rental in Orlando?

Bet my husband wishes I didn't have credit cards!:teeth:

Thank you all for the great ideas. I have learned that continental airlines you can pay through western union. The hotel i can send a money order. we are staying offsight so the rental car is a major issue. Stress:crazy:

What hotel are you staying at? Do they offer a shuttle? If you are on I-Drive there is always Lynx, although the last bus leaves the TTC fairly early in teh evening.

From our bank, I've bought prepaid credit cards, based on the amount I paid, to give as presents....you might check your area for those...also, AAA used to have prepaid American Express cards, which you could buy ahead of time and use of through the card limit. Or, if your like me, you get 10 offers for credit cards a week....open one, use it for the trip, pay it with your saved cash, and cancel it after your trip.........have fun.:smooth:
