Just an FYI for those of you that ordered your planning DVD's in December. I ordered mine mid-december and got it today. There is a DVD and a CD-ROM. I popped the CD in and it pretty much has the same virtual tours that are on the website. Haven't watched the DVD yet.

Oh, Goodie! I didn't know there was a new one. And...you look familiar and I live in Carrollton, TX, too. It's a small world after all....

The new DVD was amazing!!! It wasn't like the old ones. This one has actual actors in it that make it more than just informative. It's entertaining!! I think I'm gonna watch it again before I leave in 4 days. :)

Is the new DVD/CD on the WDW web site??

Anybody have the site handy?????

I'm still waiting for mine--impatiently!! I keep reading all these great reviews and can't wait much longer!!

I just got mine on Friday. I really like this one. It is not just the same old video. I think I ordered mine sometime in December.

Got mine a few days ago. Just beware of the young buy in the DVD. ACK!!! I swear he made me want to throw the DVD out the window within 5 minutes. Everytime he says anything he says it with his face in the camera and he bends down and gives some signs with his hands. He is soooooooooo annoying. I think he went waaayyyyy overboard trying to reach out to the younger/thrill seeker crowd. The bench tester guy is not much better, but not as annoying. The two girls are good although Erin needed to tone down the sugary sweet effect a little. All in all the DVD is pretty neat. Especially for those of us that have never been to WDW. But I think that is exactly who this is geared to. Getting the first time crowds. Those of you that have been at least twice have already seen about everything this DVD has to offer.

I thought it was great. A totally different format than all of the past videos. I think they needed to add a teenagers point of view to let teens know that even though it is a magical place, there are other things in all of the parks that will appeal to them too.

I personally don't mind him, but knew there would be people that would absolutely find it annoying! I can see how some would find him to be a little over the top! :rotfl: I personally found them all to be entertaining and think it is the best DVD/video they've released thus far.

I totally agree with you. After getting these DVD's/videos for the past few years (in vain attempts to actually go to WDW for the first time) I completely agree that these are the best they have put together. (now if I could only figure out a way to get rid of the gnarly idiot boy... :scratchin )

You guys have gone and gotten me excited!!! I ordered mine the first of January so maybe I'll get it soon. I can't wait to see the new one! :p

You should have gotten it by now. It will be there any day. I ordered mine late in the second week of January and it came here two or three days ago.

2 of the 4 hosts are WAY over the top (Erin and the surfer dude). There is barely a teaspoon of sincerity between the lot of them. They are a little more under control on the resorts section. I will say Disney spent some money and upgraded the shots of the parks with higher quality video. Haven't checked the CD-Rom yet.

I can't disagree with any of the "reviews" so far. But, I will say this is a definite improvement over the dorky "spontaneous" comments from guests on the old videos.

Yes, World Showcase is a fun immersion into other cultures, but it's not like going to Europe, as the guests in the past reading the cue cards would have you believe.

By the way, is Animal Kingdom a zoo?

We just got ours yesterday. I liked it a lot and didn't find any of the hosts that bad. Liked that they even had a little bit about Disneyland since we are going there in December.
