DH and I were just talking about how there are a few restaurants where we've actually never eaten! Not many, but a few.... (we like our sit-down meals!) We like to mix in a few new places along with our old favorites... I'm interested to hear about the following:

Bistro de Paris
Sanaa
Flying Fish
Bluezoo
Shula's
Il Mulino
Fulton's Crab House
Raglan Road

(PS - not on the dining plan, so don't worry about credits, etc. Just looking for feedback about the food, atmosphere, experience, etc)

Bistro de Paris: This is our typical last night meal when we visit WDW and have always had a very enjoyable meal here. Upscale food and presentation in a small intimate dining room. Have read that recent experiences here have changed now that they are allowing children to order from the Chef's kids menu downstairs and some have reported that it was noisy. Before, when they didn't allow this, it was an adult dining experience where we easily spent 3 hours dining and enjoying each other's company.
Sanaa: Trying it for first time in 2 months.
Flying Fish: The best of Disney's signature restaurants. It's noisy, busy with tables crowded in, typical of Disney restaurants, but the food is very good.
Bluezoo: Very very nice. More adult. Outstanding food.
Shula's: Have not eaten here because I'm terrified of lobsters :scared1:
Il Mulino: Very good Italian food; blows away the Epcot Italian restaurants.
Fulton's Crab House: Only dined here once; was not blown away but it wasn't bad enough to say I wouldn't eat here again.
Raglan Road: Pub atmosphere makes up for the average food.

Fulton's: Really enjoyed it even though I've only been once. Great food and liked the atmosphere.

Raglan Road: My favorite place to go for UK food. Raglan Road's fish and chips are so much better than the Rose and Crown in the UK in Epcot. I love the atmosphere there and we've always had really good service. I forget which nights/times but sometimes they have live Irish music and dancers. It's a really fun, but somewhat mature place.

Thanks for the quick reply! Your descriptions sound delicious!

I would like to add Coral Reef to my original list also.... Never eaten there yet...

sanna is awsome! the food is very flavorful. i would strongly reccomend getting the bread service:thumbsup2

I've eaten at Flying Fish and Fulton's about 4-5 times each and you definitely can't go wrong with either of them. If I had to pick, I think I'd just barely be in favor of Fulton's. Both are excellent though. I haven't eaten at the others on Disney property, but I've eaten at Il Mulino in a different location a couple of times and it was also very good Italian food, definitely better than what I've had in Epcot. I can't comment specifically on how the one at the Swan is, though.

Don't get me wrong, I like Coral Reef, but it doesn't fall into the same category as many on your original list. Coral Reef is so incredibly noisy that it's hard to even sit there and eat. We try to go for opening time for lunch before it becomes too much of a madhouse.

The food is very hit and miss here. We find the dishes to be oversauced. If you like the taste of fresh fish/seafood, you won't get much of that here. Mostly you will get the taste of whatever seasoning/sauce they put with the fish. We enjoy the mahi mahi here quite a bit and we liked the blackened catfish which is gone now but we have not been overjoyed with any of the other dishes and we have tried them all.

ADD Coral Reef

You have a list of some of the finer offerings on property. Personally, when you added Coral Reef I had the same thought as Pakey...just doesn't compare well. Most of the others are a higher end dining destinations.

I am able to say you will do very well if you select any of the following when it comes to food quality/preparation, atmosphere, service and overall experience from our dining experiences:
Bistro de Paris
Flying Fish
Blue Zoo
Il Mulino

The remaining ones I have not dined at, but know Shula's is very particular in the steak cut and quality they purchase.

Flying Fish is our favorite! The food, service & atmosphere is great. We also really like Fulton's and Blue Zoo they are great too.

Flying Fish is an absolute favorite. We don't have children and actually prefer sitting at the chef's counter in front of the kitchen. Yes it's noisy, but the food and wine list make up for that. It's been 4-5 years since I've been to Fulton's, but love the steamboat -the atmosphere is great. I still remember going there (when it was the Empress Lilly) back when I was little.

Shula's: Have not eaten here because I'm terrified of lobsters :scared1:
When you arrive or after you are seated tell the hostess or your server that you want the lobster removed before they do the cart presentation and your problem is solved. :thumbsup2 Shula's is a great restaurant. And yes, Shula's has extremely high standards when it comes to their beef so if you want a really great steak while in the world head there. Great food, great wine, and typically really great service.

We've eaten at Fulton's and Coral Reef. The fish in the large aquarium were really cool and the food was good. However, the food at Fulton's was spectacular and better than Coral Reef.

I just wanted to jump in and thank everyone for there replies so far and also just to clarify that although many of the restaurants on the list are "finer" dining options - we aren't necessarily looking for that. It just so happened that these are the ones we haven't eaten at yet. I couldn't believe it that we had been to all the others! So that's why coral reef seems out of place. It's not, using our original criteria of having never been there. :)

My thoughts:
Absolutely adore Raglan Rd.
Can't say too much about the great food.
There is a great scallop appetizer and the It's Not Bleedin' Chowder is a dish of beauty (albeit a tidge on the salty side) and the bread pudding can give Ohana a run for the money.
I even love the brown bread served with (I'm guessing here) a Guinness-sugar reduction and oil...mmm!!!

Fulton's? I thought it was WAY overpriced plus it is noisy and crowded...the dining room has a very closed feeling.
Coral Reef for us is a must do : once and then it's just BTDT
We tried it again last fall and concur with our previously drawn conclusion
It's cool to see the divers and the fish , it always seems rushed and the food while good isn't anything out of the ordinary
HTH

Bistro-I have not eaten here but love Chef de France
Sanaa-have hot eaten here
Flying Fish-Love it
BlueZoo-Shula's-II Mulino-3 I also want to try, maybe in the fall or next March
Fulton's-No desire, have heard not so great
Raglan Road-Trying it in the fall

Trying 2 new restaurants in March, Kouzzina and Narcoosee's

Sanaa is a must do for us every trip! The bread service is great, the tomato soup is delish, and a table by the window is so much fun! I highly recommend Sanaa.

Bistro de Paris - I has been years since I've eaten here. I meant to go on my last trip but we ended up shortening the trip b/c of something we thought was going to happen & I'm sad that we missed out. The reviews for the place makes it seem awesome.

Sanaa - I ate here for lunch in Dec 2009. I thought it was ok. Not really worth it to me to travel out of the way to get there. However, if I were staying at AKL or AKV, I would probably check it out again.

Flying Fish - This is one of my new favorites. I ate here in Oct 2009 & Dec 2009. Growing up, I hated this place but now that my tastes have grown up, I enjoy it much more.

Bluezoo - I'm iffy on this place. I ate here on my most recent trip (Feb 2010) & had the best appetizer ever but my husband & I weren't overly thrilled with our entrees. It could have been that we just didn't order the right thing for us.

Shula's - Reviews look good & we plan on trying it ourselves in October.

Il Mulino - We were suppose to try this as the reviews from some other Disers make it look awesome! Its on our plan for October.

Fulton's Crab House - The *best* meal of the trip in Feb 2010. Service was on the ball. The food was outstanding. I can't wait to go back!

Raglan Road - The bread sucks but the rib appetizer is so good. Entrees can be hit or miss depending on what you get. If you eat here late, it can get a loud as the nightly entertainment starts w/ the stepdancer. The desserts are really good too!

Flying Fish Amazing, we just love the heck out of this place...been there three times (last time was June 09) and the food is out of this world!

Bluezoo Unbelievable! We ate here in June 09 and the food, service, the atmosphere...it was the highlight meal of our stay

Shula's We have one locally and it is excellent so we do not need to visit the one in WDW

Il Mulino WOW this place was to die for...

Fulton's Crab House Insanely fantastic!! The best crab and lobster I have ever had!

Raglan Road Horrible! The food was disgusting, the server was non existant...no way would we eat here again
