New Pizzeria in ITALY?

I think it would be great to have a decent pizza place at Epcot! So far the only decent pizza I've found at WDW is the Spoodle's pizza window. That was pretty good. But Pizza Planet, Pizzfari, Pinochio Village House are all pretty lousy!

Would love a great brick oven pizza with real brick oven slices vs the yucky disks that Disney usually serves. Even the pizza at the resorts stinks.

The problem with Disney pizza is that they use too much sauce and the sauce they use has too much tomato paste in it.

It's about darn time. A pizza CS in Italy makes perfect sense. I've been wondering why there hasn't been one for years. It shouldn't be that hard to prepare decent pizza for a large volume of people. While Pizza Hut isn't my favorite pizza, they manage to do a better job than Disney at putting out a consistently edible product every day in thousands of restaurants.

Come to think of it the whole pizzas I've had resorts like the All-Stars were actually pretty decent,at least better than Pizza Planet style pizzas.A theme park pizza that's actually very good is Louie's Italian restaurant at Universal Studios which is counter service and it's very affordable too a full pie is only like $14-$15.

although a pizza is made of Italian ingredients, its not a product of Italy. And, frankly, I've had pizza in Italy and I don't think most people would like it, not really what we're used to in the US.

It's tough to mass produce pizza and do it well. We've had the pizza (not my choice, it's what my kids wanted ) in a bunch of WDW locations, and I think it's all the same--Pinocchio Village Haus, Pizza Planet, the place across from Fantasmic (Catalina Eddie's??) and Pizzafari. The crust is bleh. The sauce tastes cooked, not fresh, and they use way too much tasteless cheese. The pizza window at Spoodles/Kouzzina isn't any better.

Considering WDW's track record with pizza, and also having sampled the pizza in Italy during the F&WF, I'm not very optimistic. :sad2:

That's exactly what I thought when I heard about the new pizza place in Italy. That garbage they tried to pass off as pizza at the F&WF was worse than any cheapo frozen pizza. Just plain gross. But, we can only hope.:confused3

We have not eaten any F&W pizza. It did not look enticing to us, and there was always a long line.
I think a walk up pizza service in WS is long over due. :thumbsup2
Hopefully since Tutto's is making them, they will be good.
It's just hard to find a good pizza around here anyway. We found Flipper's, and have stuck with them. It's not like they are FANTASTIC. But they are always good. Which beats the heck out of most local pizza places. ;)

I just posted about the F&W pizza on my TR. We bought it for my daughter to eat and even she wouldn't eat it. It was more "Italian" with less sauce, but the real issue was the crust! It was thin and looked good, but it had no taste. Not even a cardboard taste.
