new pirates as bad as fireworks

I feel your pain! Well Ocsurfer helped me win 2 games and it only took 10 mins tops for both? and I got black throne

I can't remeber who said, but you just have to keep trying, I won like 12 keys today so it can be done!

come find me cat, I rarely loose, and now, just to avoid the possibility all together, I play against the AI - all you would have to do is sit back and watch

Yep. Most of the time I get partners that have no clue how to play. They quickly die leaving me to be ganged up on.

Also, the game is lagging so much that I also lose due to that.

And, they also have gone the way of the HM game. If the other team leaves, there is no winner. :(
What a rip.

And now, one of my alternate characters who has won more than 10 level 2 games can't play level three. :(

First just keep going to the pirate after each game, at some point it will pass you.

Second, the leaving so you don't get credit is wrong. It could happen but usually you can tell if it was intentional. In masion they lose alot of credit at pirates, most likely because they paid in they allready lost credit so they don't care. To fix this, they should do one of two things, lock in the win regaurdless of the quit (they won't we have complained in mansion since the beginning on this) or make a penalty for exiting the game - say 100 credit fine and 10 minute restriction , so they can play no games. I would be happy if they got a big Quitter sign over their head.

While I am kind of with you on this Adventure, you have t think of those people who DC or have to walk away from the Pc too, I sometimes have to leave the game when I am at work due to, well, work! and at home sometimes because of the children

While having to deal with family is a good reason to have to walk away from a game, work is not.

If you are at work, you should not join a game unless you know you can finish it. :)

I hate when people join a team game and up and leave due to menial reasons.
It is a term game for a reason. Meaning, you need a team to actually win (most of the time).

You do not see kids playing an organized baseball game up and leave in the middle of the game because "it's dinner time" or "I got bored" or various other reasons. It would affect the outcome of the game. Not only that, but it's wrong to just up and leave your team high and dry.

This is the same concept.

If the other team leave that means they forfeit the game so you win by default. duh!
Why do they punish the person that stays, I think at the least they should count that as a win, it's not like you are causing the other team to leave is it?
You should get the prize just for sticking around when VMK is being so difficult.

It use to be that pirates and mansion were the only 2 ways I could make credits in VMK, now I'm down to just Mansion.

Cat,

I can play any of the three levels but I prefer ship battle lately. Anyway, I would play one on one with you and we could take turns winning if you'd like. I'm really enjoying the keys. I got a black throne, a maze wall with turret and three or four empty chests.

Hey, this could work out great. We could play a round of Yeti level three when it's our turn to be the sitting duck. That could help us rack up quite a few credits fast!

I'm supposed to attend my cousin's funeral in the morning but should be on later in the day and available for playing pirates or ghosts.

Things can come up in work just as spontaneous. Say you are asked to attend an emergency meeting or you just remember you had something in important to complete. Work is a far better reason to leave than to stay. Vmk isn't everything, lol. Life is.

If you were late to a sudden and important meeting and your boss asked you why you were late, how ridiculous would it be to say, "Oh, sorry. I had to finish a game in this video game I play because I couldn't just stop. How important was the meeting anyway?" You can't place a video game over work. If you have work to do, you do the work! heh

Hear, hear!

I work on the phone, I have no idea when the phone is going to ring next. Could be 30 seconds, could be an hour. I usually try to play the game while I talk on the phone, but it does not always work.

Yes. I agree that work is more important than a game.
Which is why you should not be playing a game while at work.

The only time you should be is during your breaks. And trust me, I know that things can come up suddenly. That's why if I ever did play while at work, it would only during my lunch time and then I probably still wouldn't be playing the team games. :)

While I usually try not to share my pain playing teams while at wiork, you real can not know the nature of everyones work, In my job sometimes I have to stay just to be thewe. so there really isn't much to do at times. If the phone rings, It may be 30 seconds, it may not require switching screens, or it may be an emergency or urgent matter. I have techniques to minimize the damage if it comes up and rarely quit a game, if I do I probably won't be back for quite a while. I would say it isn't really fair to characterize how you think everyone else should work at jobs you know knothing about. If I am stuck at work for 16 - 18 hours I feel if I burn an hour or two playing so I don't waste time driving back and forth from home, instead of for sure getting a call at home and having to quit then that is ok.

I must be the losingest person at new pirates in the entire history of VMK.

Want to win? Stay off my side. I also only get the second losingest people in the game as my partners.

You know I was NEVER good at fireworks but once upon a time I could win about 7 out of 10 games of pirates. If things ain't broke why do they think they have to fix it????? Why don't they go fix the things that need fixing in the game????

Since the key thing start -- 3 days of playing pirate I have won 1 game.

Right on man!
I work anywhere from 10 to 20 hours a day, there is no such thing as "lunch break" and "breaks" are nothing more than bathroom runs. But like you, I have to be there waiting for the phone to ring, and it could be 30 seconds, or it could be a 45 minute call, who knows? Mostly I do not have to quit, but sometimes, I just have to abandon the game and work.

Say...perchance...your work was at home and an around-the-clock gig. Say you were a doctor (of specific professions) and you were at home with your family, you ate dinner and now you are playing vmk because you find it relaxing and entertaining. Then, you get an emergency page telling you that you need to be at the hospital asap for something very serious. The decision is now at your hands...do you stay to finish that game of pirates or do you get in your car and drive to work? :confused3

All I am trying to say is work can be as vaild of an excuse as family. As long as the person playing the game (to then quit) has a valid excuse...which can include work...then they can't really be disrespected or placed at bad ends with the team. Life goes on, and though it isn't always virtual, you have to let people live.

Then, there is the other side. People will quit a game due to a vast amount of selfishness or pride. THAT is what I don't like. Quit the game if you must, but if you really don't have to, try to at least finish it.

Oh no. I could never understand why someone would choose to save a life instead of playing a game.

Sheesh! People! Get real! I did say that I understand that things can come up. But, I've been on the receiving end of people suddenly leaving games way too often to know that all these people are not leaving due to reasons that have been stated or that they have those kinds of jobs stated.

Face it. Most (not all) people joining and leaving don't have those kinds of jobs. Most of them are school kids who get upset because they are losing or get sidetracked with other things while playing.

All I'm saying is that people need to think before they join a team game about if they believe they can actually finish it or not. And whether or not you could actually be hurting those other people involved. When you suddenly leave a game, you are affecting those left in the game.

I never said truly valid reasons are not reason enough. Please get off my back with all these "what if's".
