I haven't heard this rumor but at Disney Paris there is a restaurant at Pirates of the Caribbean so it would not surprise me.

I'm trying to imagine a Pirates restaurant without rum. . .

there's a restaurant inside POTC at disneyland, but it's far from pirate themed.

i think portions of it ended up at the neverland pool at the disneyland hotel if i'm not mistaken. one thing i do know for certain - disney never throws anything away.
