New Pirate Quest Items Bug

You may be aware of a bug with the new Pirate quest and reward card that allowed the same code to be used by multiple players. We have corrected the issue and will be removing any rooms that were not the first redeemed on that code. So, if you used one of the codes posted to redeem either the well or the room and you were not the first person to input the code, you will lose those items shortly. For those competing in the Water Slide Team Event this weekend, please do not use these items in your slide unless you were the person to pick up the card and finish the quest in the park.

This is from the new Pirate Quest that was released in the Magic Kingdom at WDW this week. DLR does not have the quest yet, but codes were posted on some boards for people to use when it was discovered that they were working incorrectly.

I just wanted to warn everyone I could that they would be removed if they were not the first person to use that code.

No bans will be given out for those that redeemed a code they got without doing the quest. We can tell who the first person to redeem a code is and they will be the only ones that will get to keep the items.

This is great news from VMK staff! I was really upset that the value of the rooms and wells were going to be nill. And that a select few would be able to profit from a mistake.

Tonight I went to enter a code from the quest card I got at VMK Central on Monday morning. It was brand new and never used before and gave me 1 credit instead of a well. My boyfriend tried to use his code, again brand new, and the same thing happened. What is going on?

My question would be, what about the people that may have traded for one of those second hand rooms or wells? They gave up lots of things and now they may lose their well and the items they traded? Double Trouble.

Doesn't seem right, but I guess VMK thought about this and has an answer.

Same problem here, got my cards from WDW on Monday afternoon

I'm guessing when they deactivated the initial two codes, and changed them to 1 credit, they were all changed.

I sent in a comment to Contact Us about the problem, but haven't heard back yet. I'm guessing they have their hands full with comments though.

This is the same question I have. A very good point that many traded for those items only to be taken away by vmk. I highly doubt the traded items will be returned.

How will vmk deal with this?

I traded for a code and the room is not gone the code Im not sure I just typed it does it mean it was not the second hand code?
