wow i'll trade you! =)
I checked DH's email when I saw you got this (as I do every time I hear someone got a new code)...and I was shocked when I saw he had an offer!

Except when I looked at it, it was for $735/adult at values for 5 nights/5 days in the first time frame you listed, and $763/adult for the second, with no mention of the $500 gift card...the only difference was an addition of "kids 3-9 stay, play and eat free"

which would be great, except we don't have kids.

I priced it out for my brother (who has a 5 yo) to see if it would help our trip in June, and it would save about $200 over rack rate for he and his fiance and their son to use, except we booked the 4/3 deal that's saving about $750 at the moderates (where we'd rather stay anyways). :headache:

I'll call tomorrow to see if I can get anything better...but I think it's amusing we got similar offers at the same time with one having a drastically better deal!

hmm, i actually looked at it again and mine includes dining plan...so over 5 nights that's close to the $200. You're getting a $500 gift card; I was getting kids for free, but it's not as drastically different a deal as I thought!

What's silly about it, though, is that it's not actually a savings - it's pretty much the rack rate price for what you get. The *only* savings is the $500 gift card for you, or the kids stay/eat/play free for me. And particularly since I don't have kids, and disney knows that based on all of the surveys and market research I very happily complete for them before, during, and after every trip I go on, this kind of irritates me that they would send this.

I know they're not trying to lure repeat visitors like myself back; they're trying to get new people to come down that think they're getting a great deal. And also if I had 2 kids, this really WOULD be a decent savings. But argh, I hate getting my hopes up for nothing.

I just got this Offer to in my email

My very first pin code:cool1:

My son is not a big eater, so the $500 gift will work just as good as free dining for us.

I also got this offer and it is our first ever pin code! We are retiring at the end of February so this will be a wonderful treat. :goodvibes We will be able to pick and choose our dates without the worry of getting time off from work. Yaaaaaa-whoooooo!

I suspect quite a few people are getting these now. I actually received this offer at 2 separate email addresses. This is the first time I have ever received one of these....

:thumbsup2

I also received the $500 gift card offer of either $535 or $563 per adult for 5 nights at a value, including tickets.

So here is my question; can you use it to pay for your room? My guess is no, since you have to make final payment 45 days in advance and you don't receive the gift card until check-in. This offer would be great if you were planning another trip on the dates it is available

It appears that this is Disneys way of offering free dining. In our case that is how we would use the gift card.

This doesn't sound like that great a deal to me. If it is $535 per adult at a value resort for April 19th- May 21st...that is $1070. A value resort during that time period is $105 per night for Sunday - Thursday and $115 per night Friday and Saturday. So if it were for 5 nights Sunday - Thursday the resort cost would be $593 for 2 adults. They are charging $1070 minus the $500 gift card and your cost is $570. That's only a $23 savings. AAA gives a better discount than that.

Oops forgot about the tickets :) I guess it is a pretty good deal! I have an annual pass so I always forget about the tickets..sorry about that.

Just received it--I have a question:

The PIN says $563 per adult for a 5-night stay X 4 adults in my family= $2252 - $500 gift card = $1752

OTOH, I can stay at SOG for 5 nights @ $130/night = $650 + 4 5-day tickets purchased @ SOG for $218 each = $872, for total price of $1522.

So I think I can still stay at SOG for $230 cheaper than the PIN deal. I'm not looking down my nose at a PIN, just trying to figure out which is the best deal for our family. Someone please check my math and tell me if I'm missing something.

I got the free dining one. I would prefer this one over free dining, however.

My daughter is not a big eater, but we can do some real damage shopping. LOL

That is PER adult based on DOUBLE occupancy. So you'd pay for 2 at the 563.00 per adult and the other 2 adults are probably added on at 10.00 per person.

Does anyone know if the tickets that you are required to buy have to be used while there? We will probably have APs and would like to save the tickets. Thanks!:goodvibes

I already booked the 4/3 deal so I called to price this deal to see how it compared. The 4/3 deal is 523/night; this deal is 714/night after adjusting for the gift card.

We got the $500 free gift card and $535 For stays most nights 4/19–5/21/09. and $563 For stays most nights 5/22–6/27/09. However we cannot use it cause my boyfriend has no vacation time built up yet,,and we were planning on going in Aug/Sept. once he does.
However I will never look a gift horse in the mouth,,,a pin is a pin! :cutie:

We got the $500 gift card Pin. My first ever!!!!!!!!!!! I cant use it because we are already going in Jan.

Actually, this is a pretty good deal.

535 X 2 = $1070 - $500 = $570.

For $570 you get:

2 5 day tickets worth ($236.43 X 2) $472.86

5 nights at value resort worth $561 (added tax to that)

Grand total $1034.61 for a cost of $535. Good deal!

Having an AP, I would add plusses and another day and non-exp to those tickets (if they let me!)

Check my math! I may be all wet here!:thumbsup2

As long as you don't use the tickets at all, they will not expire! They expire 14 days after you first use them... we have AP too and this is what we are doing in January! HTH!

I agree with you. I've run the numbers a few different ways this morning (I got the pin too!).... and any way I cut it, $550'ish for 5 nights including tickets is a GOOD deal.

I even factored in what the cost would be if I added the dining package, and I'm still over $200 cash ahead!

Wasn't planning on a spring trip, but it's hard to not consider it with this deal!

Has anyone checked to see if we can apply it to a mod or deluxe?
