New picnic in the park at Animal kingdom

A minimum of 3 is probably needed to collect at least $25/3CS credits in order for it to be cost effective. Also I don't think it would be a problem to redeem 3CS meals at once for this, even as a couple. You may not want to spend it, but I'm sure in this case it would be allowed.

Again, I don't think we'd use it as we love Boma and would book that for a meal on an AK day. Also we go in late Aug/early Sept. AC sounds more our speed for a meal.

Still would be nice to have the option for just 2 people.

I go with my niece-we can't even do the 3 people one as she can't eat most of the food (lactose intollerant). Neither of us are big eaters. We share a chicken meal at Cosmic Rays/Flame Tree/Sunshine Seasons.

You're not excluded, you just need to by the package for 3, either 3CS credits or cash. Certainly at a picnic two adults can eat a sandwich and a half. We are 2A and a child, but it will cost us 3A CS credits if we want to do this.

I would not eat a sandwich and a half myself and probably not DH either unless they were very small! Plus it comes with sides and dessert(neither of which I would get regularly for lunch). That is a lot of food. We have a 1 and 3 yo, and I may try it(hoping for a review) but even we dont need 3 sandwiches a side and dessert for all 4 of us.
I still want to know when they are made, like are they made ahead and kept cold, how do they keep hot stuff hot, and fresh and what are the picnic spots like- picnic tables? tables and chairs?

no need for the eyeroll.

Depends. If we're talking Disney-sized sandwiches, then likely not. Even if they're more like my dinky home sandwiches, one is enough with a side and dessert. When eating out, DH and I often split a sandwich unless that's ALL we're having.

If this is successful, it'd be nice to see it at DHS, too, where they seem to lack in really good CS options. Although most of the time you'll find ME seeking out air-conditioning. :goodvibes

I'm a single mom with a 10 year old ds. We would love to do this....but since it is only for parties of 3 and up, we are excluded... unless I want to pay OOP and waste food. (not very "green").

We absolutely love Disney and as a single parent I am more relaxed at Disney than on other vacations because I feel so safe on property. However, this is another example of how single parents, especially single parents of "single" children sometimes get the shaft. This misuse of the word "family" is becoming code for "single parents and small families don't count".

Another single-parent-single-kid family here. I do also feel that we're not considered a 'real' family for marketing purposes. But I agree that Disney is a GREAT place for our small families!

I could see this easily filling the 5 of us for three CS credits but I don't know if there is enough variety in the sandwiches to keep us happy. We'll see.

no need for the eyeroll.

Oh, it was meant as...uh you should see my extended family eat at a picnic, trust me we eat WAAAY more than a sandwich and a half!!! And that's just the first plate. :goodvibes

Hopefully no worries here.
