New Photopass opportunities

The mickey and goofy one is them flying over you in the sky. We were pointing up at them in the picture. It looks like they are riding on soarin.
The pirates lair one was just done on the stage area where captain jack normally is.

Thanks, I didn't know about Mickey and Goofy one. Yes, please tell where they take this one. :goodvibes

As to Capt. Hook-so they take it on the stage area that faces NOS, right? I've actually never seen Jack pirate: there, we always find him at the back of the island.

Can't wait to see yours when you get them-don't forget about us. Thanks!

Thank you so much!!!:goodvibes So is the Mickey/Goofy one done over by Soarin??

Also if that photo was done where Captain Jack normally is, where is Captain Jack???

I promise I'll post them as soon as I get the cd.
The soarin one was done by the golden gate bridge not by soarin.
Captain Jack frequents Pirates Lair...when my son did the picture with Captain Hook it was on the stage area on Pirates lair that you see from NOS.
Hope that helps.

Do you have to buy the enhanced CD to get this or does the 60.00 regular do it too??

Those sound pretty cool. I didn't know that they could add that into your pictures. I was a little :confused3 when the photographer asked one of us to put their hands together and for us to looked shocked, seeing the picture with Tink added to it was nice.

I will definitely ask them about special pics next time.

I *believe* that you could get these done even with the least expensive, uneditable, CD. These are done "in" the camera, rather than being added by the guests later.

However! Be SURE that the add-ins are actually there on your pictures! We posed for the Stitch-from-ground picture in front of Greetings from CA, and when I got home and added the photopass card numbers to the website, there was no Stitch. That's a silly pose when there's nothing there!

It was all taken care of with some emails back and forth, they added Stitch for me, and then I was able to order the CD.

If you're getting it in the park to take home with you, look through all of the pictures at the photopass desk monitors, to make sure that Tink, the ghosts, Captain Hook, etc, are right where they are supposed to be. :)

bumbershoot,

The pictures are edited when you go to the photopass shop on Mainstreet and the CD must be purchased there. These pictures cannot be edited to in the online version.

I'm not talking about the borders one adds online. I'm talking about the things the photographer "adds", that are supposed to just magically show up (they did not for me, but I was an exception).

Since they are supposed to just be there (that's what I had read before, and what the photgrapher told me), that's why I was fairly sure, without experience in it though, that they would show up for the least expensive CD, since they aren't supposed to need editing to be there. :)

When you go into the photopass shop, they add in the character. That is what we had to do when we had a Tinkerbell picture in front of the castle.

The photographer does not add the character through his/her camera.

I'm hoping bradk chimes in on this, b/c the wording on his site and some questions on his forums suggests that you AND I were exceptions for needing the extra help, and that it should be an automatic thing, isn't considered editing, and therefore, by my logic, should be OK on the non-editable CD.

Bradk, please? :)

Wow I will totally have to try the hook and the haunted mansion ghost pic.

I loved my last CD of pics.

I know I got all my enhancements at WDW from the camera. I didn't check a single one of my WDW pix while there, only after getting home and looking at them online. (Luckily they were all there!):goodvibes

I did notice that the other day, at DLR, the PP photog took a pix without us in it before taking the one with us (and the enhancement) I.E. after he took a few pix of DD and I in the plaza at DCA, he then took a pix of the ground (only) of where Stitch would be. We weren't in that pix. Then he took the ones with us. Later in the day, at DL, another PP did the same with with us and Tink by the castle. She took a pix without us in it before she took the one of us holding Tink.

Hope this clears things up. :wizard:

So the characters were added when the photographer took your pic. That is news to me as every photographer we had told us we had to get the character added in the Photopass shop. I have had many of these done and have never seen the character in the pic on the online versions.

It's possible that WDW and DLR operate differently. Especially since alot of the enhancements are new to DLR. It wouldn't hurt to verify this when getting them done at DLR. I also know, that Sunday, neither one of the PP photogs told me I had to get the enhancements done at the parks. Maybe they just forgot? Personally, I would hate to have to wait in the lines to get my enhancements. On Sunday, at DCA there was only 1 person working and only 1 family ahead of us. After waiting for about 10 min. I gave up and decided to come back later in the day. Luckily, there were then 2 CMs working and there wasn't a line. I can only imagine the line at the end of the day, near park closing. :scared1:

Last week when we were there a few of our graphics weren't showing up. The CM at the photo store made a phone call, (not sure to who), gave them our photopass number and within minutes the characters were showing up in our pictures. So maybe the photographer does actually insert the graphic? I dunno?:confused3

But just a few of them, yes? Some of them did show up on their own?

During our last day-trip (Feb. 15th) we went to the shop in DL right before the ending of the 6:30 pm parade. Actually, I went inside while DW & DD watched the end of the parade. There was only one other customer in the store and there were 4 - 5 CMs waiting behind the counter. By the time I was done getting our picture selected (10 minutes) the line outside was 15 - 20 people deep.

Having gone to Disneyland several times in the past few times (more than I care to admit, but probably not as often as Molly) the added-in features are "kind of" done by the photographer. Something they do before taking your picture makes sure the character is added. I have never checked the CD at the park, only online, and they've always been there. I think you can even add borders to those prints as well.

I didn't buy any last year, but when I did check mine online the added in characters where there...but that's about all the experience I have with them...I will be buying them this year!

Hi MommyWithDreams, or anyone, I was wondering what is the best time of day to catch the photopass photographers, I am sure hoping to see a lot on my upcoming trip, and was just curious if there is anytime of day that is better then another time or are they out pretty much all day. Thanks.:goodvibes
