New Photopass opportunities

Hi MommyWithDreams, or anyone, I was wondering what is the best time of day to catch the photopass photographers, I am sure hoping to see a lot on my upcoming trip, and was just curious if there is anytime of day that is better then another time or are they out pretty much all day. Thanks.:goodvibes

They are around pretty much all day. However, we tried to get the holding tinkerbell photo when it was already dark and the photographer said the we had to have it done during the daytime. I don't know if this is true for all of the character enhanced photos, though.

Ditto about them being around all day. I've done Tink twice recently. Both times near the castle. Once in front of the Mickey and Walt statue in the hub and most recently off to the left side of the castle (in the shade!) on the walkway between the hub and the walkway to Rancho del Zocalo restaurant in Frontierland.

As to getting the pictures after dark, I've been pretty unhappy with most of them. :confused3 Both at DLR and WDW. They just don't come out very good. You have to hold still but everyone, and everything, behind you keeps moving. We took alot of pix in front of the Mickey's hat at DHS (formerly MGM) and none of them really came out. Same goes with ones taken by the Hyperion theatre at DCA. Many of our nighttime pix are also out of focus and/or too hot (we are bleached out)

I was a little disapointed at the amount of photographers we saw. We passed the castle a few times during the day and never saw anyone there. Then at times we'd pass by and there were two. We saw the one in front of the haunted masion only two days on our 6 day trips. That could be just because it was still a slow time when we were there.

the added-in features are "kind of" done by the photographer. Something they do before taking your picture makes sure the character is added. I have never checked the CD at the park, only online, and they've always been there. I think you can even add borders to those prints as well.

At Disney World, when I asked for the Simba picture at Animal Kingdom and the Stitch picture at MGM, the photographers keyed a code into that little keypad that they have hanging off of their waist and then they took a set of pictures of us for the character shot. The characters have showed up in all of our pictures every time ... I never check the pictures until I get home online and I've never had a problem. :confused3

I didn't even know you could check them at the park! I've only looked online. One of our stitch popping out of the ground photos didn't have him, but my other enhancements were always there. We took a ton yesterday including the Ghost and Capt Hook shots, but I can't check them yet since I am having them added to someone elses' photopass account so I can get the cd! So I need for her to add it in first.

If they are not in front of the castle, more than likely they are hanging out around the Walt/Mickey statue and only once have they not been at either. I have never seen them in front of HM, then again I have never really looked for them in that area.

Thank you for letting me know. I will hope for the best. I think this weekend and next week are crowded times so I am sure hoping they are all out, I for sure what some of these new magic shots and sure hoping for one at King Triton too. If anyone has any pointers I will take them. Thanks so much.:goodvibes

Just looked at my photopass shots from yesterday- yep all the "enhanced" characters are already there, and the Hitchiking Ghosts and Capt Hook shots are FABULOUS!! Love photopass :cool1:

BTW our Capt Hook shot was in NOS in front of the Rivers of America, we never made it to Pirates Lair yesterday.

This is great!!! Did you see any of the other ones, like at Nemo or the Mickey/Goofy one over at CA. Just curious. Also what time of day did you see them?? Thanks.:)

Does anyone have their CD's yet so they can share pics of the new special PhotoPass photos yet? :flower3:

I'd like to see too! :) Also, does anyone know of an entire list of all the characters you can have added and where they are located?

I think the first post mentioned at least the news ones...

Tink in your hands in front of the castle.
Stitch coming out of the ground in DCA (we had it done in front of Greetings from CA, but the photographer near TOT said she could do it too).
Stitch sitting on a bench, I assume at DCA as well.

And directly from the first post (with a thought of mine in italics)...

Capt. Hook fighting with you at Pirates Lair (same as WDW MK?) the first person who mentioned this said they had it done in front of POTC
Seagull sitting on your head at Nemo ride and
You looking out a sub window while fish swim by (also Nemo ride)
Ghost at Haunted Mansion (same as WDW?)

Well I am home, not very happy about that, I totally fell in love with DL. I saw all the photopass photographers and my photos turned out great, I have not looked at them since being home, but did take Molly's advice and looked at them before I left Disney, thank you so much Molly:goodvibes , there were a few that didn't have the special magic touches but they were able to help me right there. So that was good. The Nemo ones are kind of silly, I really like the HM ghosts, they turned out great and both times I saw the photographer for CH, they were by ROA and not on PL. As soon as I get my CD, I will try and post some of the pictures, they are really cute, I was very impressed. Thank you all so much for your help and advice, my trip would not have been nearly as great had it not been for all of your excellant help.:goodvibes

Thanks for letting us know. Glad you had a good time. :goodvibes Can't wait to see your pix.

My photopass CD arrived and I have never just put the CD in the computer and uploaded them, so I tried today because I really wanted to share some with all of you and I can't figure out how to upload them from the CD to my photobucket account, any ideas or thoughts would be great, if not I will have to print some off and scan them in that way. :goodvibes

When you go to photobucket and click on "Browse" it should go to one of our existing photo files (most llikely the last one you uploaded) Then you should be able to click on "your computer" icon to bring up your drives (left side of screen). Click on the drive that has the PP disc in it. On mine it's either in my E or F drive. It should show up as "Disney Photopass CD" Click on it. Then click on the "Images" folder. It will list your images by numbers (20 per listing) Click on the one that has the image you want. Then either click on that image number (if you know it) or click on the windows icon in the upper right corner to change the view from list to thumbnail. Then click on the photo you want to up load. Once you have all the ones you want just upload as usual.

HTH. Let me know if it doesn't.

Hi, thank you so much!!! These were perfect!!!:goodvibes

Ok, well here are the Nemo shots, I will try and post more of my photopass photograhs tomorrow or over the weekend but I know you all have been wanting to see the Nemo ones, so here they are, I wasn't all that impressed with them but these are the best ones. Pardon the weird looks on my face, I was just doing what the photograher asked and trying to get into the moment, the one where I am pointing my finger is pretty cute, because she said act like you are pointing at Nemo and in the picture it actually kind of looks like I am. Hope you all enjoy.
