New Pavilion at EPCOT?

Could a new pavilion be coming to Epcot at Walt Disney World? Yes, at least according to a Brazilian media outlet.

According to a columnist for Sao Paolo newspaper Folha, Disney approached the Brazilian government this week about adding a Brazil pavilion to Epcot. The report was noted by theme park website **************.net.

Last year, Orlando saw 1.7 million visitors from Brazil. The country was one of the top three origin countries for international visitors. It also showed the most growth year-to-year, at 34 percent, according to Visit Orlando.

Visit Orlando said that arrivals from the United Kingdom and Ireland continued to decline last year, while South American markets showed growth.

That's no surprise to Central Florida locals, who often spot Brazilian tour groups at Orlando hot spots.

A Disney spokeswoman said the report of a new pavilion was "rumor and speculation."

Walt Disney World hasn't added a pavilion to World Showcase since 1986, when it added Norway. The theme park opened in October 1982.

But you're forgetting that the food will be Americanized and subject to the Disney cost savings axe and will never be as good as it should be.

If so, I hope they learn some manors, Like don't walk thru the parks chanting and shouting. Last time there noticed several groups from Argentina doing it too. Is that a national past time in south america?

I heard they will only allow you in the new area if everyone in your party is dressed the same and singing loudly.

I also heard the new ride there will have FP, but at the start of the day there will be a CM there with handfuls of park passes that will immediately use them all up.

Well,the only thing I heard was about the Wonders of Life Pavilion.We all know it's used for special events at Epcot such as the Food and Wine Festival and the Flower and Garden Festival..but when no one sees,they started painting the inside Mute-Colors such as whites and very light-pale greens.No one yet knows if the pavilion will re-open as the same or re-open with a new name and same theme OR a new ride all-together.
